Combined Parking Solutions Ticket Help

Hi everyone,
I recently received a ticket on my vehicle from a company called Combined Parking Solutions - I have been doing some research and have seen on the newbies thread if you get a ticket from this company to start a new thread and not use the template letters provided.

On the ticket it states that they are a member of the BPA - but having looked on the BPA website it would appear they are not. It also details the POPLA appeal process, but from my understanding this can't be instigated if they are not members of the BPA?
What is the best course of action for me to take? There is so much conflicting advice I am really confused! I

Parking companies can be members of more than one trade association. This lot are affiliated with the BPA and IPC. It is the latter who they are (m)alignerd with as far as appeals are concerned.

Appeal to the PPC as per the NEWBIES template using ALL the appeal points exactly as they appear. Do not miss the deadline.

    Wait for the rejection.

Ignore for 6 years or until you get real court papers (very unlikely.) Give debt collectors an even stiffer ignoring.

Ok will do. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I think I was looking closely at the ticket for errors...the fact that they aren't BPA members and the POPLA appeals process doesn't apply yet it states it does on the ticket could always go in my favour should any court action actually happen??

I will await my Letter of notification and send my "appeal" off....

Does the ticket carry the BPA AOS roundel i.e. this:

    aos_logo.jpg

or does it have the IPC AOS roundel i.e. this:

And does the ticket expressly mention PoPLA?

It's just a slip of paper and doesn't have either of those logos on it. However it states in the small print on the reverse of the ticket under Part 3 Appeals:

"if you are unsatisfied with the outcome of your appeal to us, you will be given the opportunity for independent arbitration via POPLA - Parking on Private Land Appeals. Full details of this independent appeals service will be sent to you should your initial appeal to Combined Parking Solutions be unsuccessful"

    And Part 7 - BPA

"Combined Parking Solutions is a member of the Approved Operator Scheme in place with the British Parking Association (BPA) and adheres to their code of conduct

Ah, right, thanks. There are some issue here, but it needs to go off-forum as Perky will be reading. Also please edit your original post to remove all references to the driver of the vehicle.

Would suggest you send a PM to alert them to your request as they may get PM's forwarded to their email account or will at least get alerted they have a PM next time they log on
