Returning to the fold - following a lovely kicking from my fellow Flyladies.:rotfl:

I will be meandering during the week, and trying to do more at the weekends - but I am pleased I can legitimately post now as I changed all my towels at the weekend - and washed and dried them on the new temporary washing line - inconsiderately the pole that has been there for more than 25 years broke just as I pegged the very last item on two extremely full lines, two months ago, and I have been trying to encourage DH to put up a new one. Temporary is good if it means I can make use of the sunshine for drying. :T

As I don't have any leave booked over the summer, and in fact I am more likely to be doing extra hours in the office as my colleagues will be away, I am not going to commit to any special projects, but will aim to (1) do at least one thing off the list each weekday (will mainly be catching up at the weekends), (2) post an update most days, and (3) mislay a few pounds of podge.

    Hi there Mrs Chaos.

Lovely to see so many returners and so happy to hear that you've made the move Deco, and particularly got your old, loved job back. Now all we need is Piggers and all will be well with the world.

Lamewolf, Kelpie had his teeth done and then two weeks later he had a lump removed - benign, thank goodness. The two GAs knocked him for six but he's getting his va-va-vhoom back gradually. Healing and strengthening spells would be very welcome.

I have to say if I'd known how much difference a stick cleaner would make I'd have bought a reconditioned one a long time ago. Still, at least I've got one now and it makes life much easier in a house of stairs, so that instead of procrastinating about vacuuming bits gets done fairly frequently. So much easier than lugging a monster around.

So far today I have finished fixing the broken shower bit which means we don't have to have a new shower (yay!), oiled the front door lock which is now working much better, walked the dog twice, cooked him a meal and fed him without having to be handfed (at last), meal planned for the week, emptied the DW, started reloading it, done the washing up and put stuff away.

Summer Challenge: Week 1: Kondo-ing the serving bowls.
    Better is good enough.

    Hi all x
Page 2 of the thread on day one must be some more old timers back :j:rotfl: great to see you x

I'm in this week and promise to do better:o

Had a trip to the hospital last night with DS2 as he cracked his neck and now his head is jerking every couple of seconds. It's muscle damage if it's not better in a couple of days he needs to go back.

A wee lay in for all of us this morning. OH now decluttered to help a friend out, DD pick up from SiLs and DS2 still asleep. Need to make a move.

I'm in with the summer challenge it will be in the form of sorting out all the cupboards in this house including THAT cupboard in my bedroom.

HHC at 1.15 join me if you can

  • Afternoon all. I'm in again this week, need to get the house into shape before we go away at the weekend. I've got no excuse for why it's so chaotic here at the minute, lots to do...plenty of evenings to do it in? Nope..no excuse! I'll swish the bathroom tonight and try and scale washing mountain when I get home from the paid stuff.

hope all is well, but hugs and spoons aplenty if not :)

    TTFN xx

How did you get on Mrs MP?

    In my HHC I ...
Sorted something to eat for DD
    Took my meds
    Washed up
Realised there are only 2 mugs in the kitchen so recovered 8 from DS2s bedroom
    Put some laundry past
Sorted a hot spot in LR
Straightened the throws and plumped the cushions on the sofa
Decluttered the top of the radiator cover in the LR

I will be going for another HHC at 2

Flying off-piste this week again. It seems I do indeed have a lupus flare on the go, so I'll have to work accordingly. Also, Ronnie is very time-consuming (but very cute, too).

Aww, poor lad. Healing and strength on their way to him. And a cuddle from Auntie Wolfy.

Tomorrow will be exactly six years since we signed up as a host family for dog-sitting!

Not as well as you, all non ironing got taken up and put away ironing sorted and board set up. DH fed and now returned to work so I'm going to rush to catch you
Then I'll put a cd on and crack on with the ironing (should take about 3xHHC)

In my latest challenge I have....

Put the Hoover back together as the filters are now dry
Washed up the mugs and put them past
Took mince and bread out of freezer
Cleared and cleaned the work tops and put the cleaned savers back
    Washed the dogs dishes
Went on hands and knees and washed floor in kitchen
Dusted the LR and Hoovered in there
Put some carpet freshener down in the hall
    Washed out the bathroom
Dusted the unit at the top of the stairs
    Put iron and board past
Nabbed OH when he was here to sort the fuse on the WM
    Loaded WM
Made myself a cuppa and topped up my nicotine.

Some more hoovering needed so I will finish my tea and get on with it.

Mrs MP How goes your ironing?
