Could I claim for compensation from RA and/or from my travel Insurance ??

My trip from Germany to UK suppose to be 22.10 but it was delayed for two hours so it was 00.10. I did not get explanation from Ryan Air (RA) the cause of delay.
Due to this I missed the bus that I booked in adcance and no more bus back to London available at that time. Due to this I had to take a taxi which costed me around £40.00. I have all receipts from the bus and from taxi.
Is there anyway I could claim this cost from Ryan Air and/or from the travel insurance ?? My travel insurance is with Nationwide as part of my Flex account.
If I could claim my money back, I prefer to get it from travel insurance instead of RA as I still want to travel with RA in the future and do not want them to put me in the black list of trouble customers.
Any info will be highly appreciated ...

Cannot claim from Ryanair as delay less than 3 hours - if you can claim from your insurance you need to check the terms and conditions of your Nationwide Insurance.
If you could, but you cannot, claim off RA they would not put you on any blacklist ~ only people such as Doctor Watson aim for this level of response.0 -

Thanks just check it. It will need to be at least four hours delay for Nationwide flex ac insurance. But in my case it already incurs a real cost as a direct result of this delay just wonder if anyway where I could get my money reimbursed ....0 -
no liability from RA as the delay was under 3 hours and they are not responsible for any consequential losses after they get you to the airport,
You could ask Ryanair for a goodwill gesture but they have no liability to give you anything so I would prepare for a NO
as your insurance does not cover this I cannot see anywhere else that you would get this reimbursed....just need to write it off0 -
Your insurance may cover you under missed departure. Check small print. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
