Thanks for sharing this sourcrates. As I am in the very early stages of going into a DMP I love to read positive comments and advice regarding the DMP process from real people who have been where I am now.

Sounds as though they are having trouble finding anything.

Hello all, hope you are all well,
Just a quick update and a question from me.
My DMP is all set up and ready to go with SC, really please with how easy it was, I notified my creditors and they have mostly replied, some have put my account on hold, a coupl with 0% interest and one has mentioned a default already
I originally started it for first payment March 1st, but have decided to delay until May 1st as I have dentist work to pay for, and then new glasses due too! So delaying it lets me pay for those, and gives me a little wiggle room too (and my 5 year olds birthday party!) SC were brilliant and have delayed it.
My question, should I contact the creditors again giving them a start date and offer token payments? How much is a token payment??
I have a nice new expanding file for all my SC related paperwork, looking forward to filling it up
Thanks all xx0 -

Hi,
You need not bother, token payments are a waste of time really, nothing will happen between then and now, if it makes you feel better, send an email/letter telling them the start date of the DMP and leave it at that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Checked my Noodle account and the MSE credit check one and Barclaycard is showing as a default. I haven't had a default letter yet just threats of one.0

Thanks! That's pretty much what I thought. They have my SC reference, they know I am in a plan, and I never confirmed a start date anyway. 2 months isn't anything really in the wider scheme of things.
Thanks!0 -
It's the little things! I love being organised and this way can separate things and have a folder shredding party at the end of my plan :j
Hope it's going well for you?
Well done for getting your DMP all sorted you must be so relieved.
We are doing ok. Still waiting for confirmation from SC. Had a call the other day just to check a couple of things on the budget so hopefully we will hear this week. We are both so much more relaxed now I can't tell you. We haven't been like this for a loooong time
My new file is going to be for any SC paperwork and any important documents. I feel like even having that is a new start for us. The other non important stuff is sitting in the incinerator waiting to be burned
