    Well done:rotfl:

Did you request yours from the original creditor or from Moorcroft please? Just interested as to who CCA requests should go to.

I sent all mine to who I was paying. Figured it's up to them to do the chasing!

Just waiting on one last one which I had to re issue letter as each DCA said they've handed back to the OC

You send CCA request to whoever is asking you for payment.

It is then there responsibility (consumer credit act 1974) to pass on your request to the original creditor.

Sometimes a DCA will refuse saying its not there job to do that, but it is, its clearly stated in the above act.

    Be persistent if that happens.

    :T Hi all :T

Update I survived the dreaded phone call to SC and I can honestly say the person I spoke to couldn't have been nicer and quickly put me at ease. :D

I have already received all our documents etc via email which I need to print off and get organised to send it back to get our DMP up and running

The only issue I have is that I miscalculated our budget and so our monthly payments to SC will be too high which will leave us with very little left at the end of the month. I added on what I could but stupidly I have been counting my yearly car insurance of £238 as a monthly payment whereas it is only £24 per month on my budget doh.

Now I'm not sure what to do. The gentleman said if anything on my budget changes I will need to ring them back so they can update at their end.

    Any ideas gratefully received.

They are used to it, changes to amount of debt, number of credit cards, over and under budgeting are all very common at the start. For your own piece of mind, double check all these before contacting them so you don't have to keep going through hassle.

Remember, paying more does not win friends and does not necessarily mean you lay off debt quicker as lower payments = less likely to be charged interest at the start.

  • Morning all,

Wonder if someone can give me a bit of advice. Been in a DMP for the last six months and all going well. Spoke to all creditors last week as regards token payments for the next two months and they were all great.

Yesterday received a statement from Sainsburys as regards my loan but this is riddled with interest, was told when i phoned them that this was halted. Shall i write to them and ask whats happening or is this a standard statement. The interest is £300 so quite an amount to challenge.

Could be a standard statement, not taking your situation into account, or, someone may of messed up.

A quick phone call will clarify things for you.
