Thanks Make the C - how long were you able to drag it out for?
Looking at what we've got coming in this month, we won't be able to set anything aside for emergency fund, it will all have to go off clearing the two hali CC which I don't want to include in the DMP as we bank with them....hey ho.
Hi ramblehan,
As advised definitely don't send an i & e at this point, I know you want to stay with your current bank and hence are hoping to pay the debts off to them as soon as possible. I did token payments for 3 months without any problem at the start of my dmp, some have done longer but do be aware that creditors do seem to treat us all differently. Hope you get a nice smooth start up on your self managed dmp, do keep us posted.

Hello guys,
Exciting news just had to share with people who will understand . I started experiencing financial difficulties in 2008 and my DMP started in 2009 with over £21k of debt. Just received my latest statement and the outstanding debt is now just £2545, I've cleared two of my original creditors and most of my defaults have now fallen off my credit file.
My next step is to build my credit rating and start saving for my first house. Not quite there yet, but there is a massive light at the end of this dreadful journey. Strangely my DFD is 17.06.2019, hehe but it will be before then. I'm hoping that it will be this year, if I can just keep chipping away. Now I've cleared two creditors I am going to do a PP reclaim on them as they can no longer hold me to ransom 😀

It's all starting to get a little dull and boring, I miss the days of robing Peter to pay Paul

Evening everyone.
I have had to take a photo of the most disgusting thing ever - slugs in our kitchen. Eurgh! They have been invading at night for a few months but it's definitely getting worse and I just know that it's something to do with the leak we have. I've taken a photo to show the Housing Association if they come back and say that they can't fix it or it's not a big problem. I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old (who puts everything in his mouth.) It is a big problem! Sigh.
All a bit quiet on the creditor front but had two letters from NCO about them handing my Shop Direct debts and to let them know if a third party was handling my debt for me. They said I could email with the details so I did but that was a few days back and I haven't heard anything yet. x2019 Wins

Ooh ucky, sure that's not usual, can you tell where they are getting in, and I seem to recall in a certain light you should be able to see the trails they leave, but perhaps you'd rather not know.....
Defo everything, takes an age with a DMP, especially replies (& paying it off) but patient perseverance will win through in the end:T

Hi all,
First real milestone reached today! 1st debt out of 11 completely paid off. Whilst it was the smallest debt it still feels pretty good knowing that this money will now be used to help off the remaining debts that little bit quicker.
G1WLBM 12.09.12 - £53K in debt.
DFD - 11.07.2019 (OMG).
New DFD is 28.10.2018 due to paying the absolute maximum.
Thanks to everyone on the DMP forum, and to SC for helping me out of this huge hole.0
