Evening everyone.
It's nice to have the weekend to ourselves without builders around! They'll be back on Monday though. The bathroom is looking lovely. Just needs tiling and painting now and someone from the HA is coming on Monday to look at our kitchen leak so hopefully that'll get sorted too!
Thanks Sourcrates for your reply to my post a few posts ago. I know that I worry too much. It's one of my major downfalls. I'm trying to rein it in but it can be hard sometimes. At the end of the day, I know that I am paying my creditors all I can afford and that's all I can do.2019 Wins

Hi,
Was just after a bit of advice regarding Shop Direct. Two of my debts are with them and while all other debtors are showing my first payment on 1st June, neither of the Shop Direct accounts have acknowledged it yet. Does anyone have any experience on how long it can take before payments show?0 -

Shop direct are a total !!!! pain, if I were you I'd with hold payment from them till they sell on the debt, then deal with the new owner.

Can I start the DMP arrangements with everyone else, even if we still have a bit of money on the H@lifax CC's? Should I just 'ignore' them on the SOA statement?
Yes, that's the beauty of self managed DMPS you can run it exactly as you want.
I would pay all the others £1 a month while you save up an emergency fund and use that to clear HALIFAX.0 -
Thanks BB - that's what I was hoping!
Still feeling like I need to be a bit brave. I'm going to write to everyone, cancel direct debits and make manual payments. Am I likely to get hassled by phone at all? Or just letters? All the guidance I have read seems to couch everything in worse case scenarios, but I would die if anyone called my work! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. They won't even bat an eyelid. Tesco will default you within 3 months and MBNA were also easy to deal worth for me. They have agreed to freeze interest for the length of my DMP as it is under 5 years.0
