Quick question open for discussion!!!
Trying to think of ways to save pennies until payday as properly skint this month
Came across a thread on MSE about 'wombling' - basically if people leave behind a supermarket receipt then you take it and go on the store's price comparison sites, type in the receipt barcode number, and see if the shopping would have been cheaper elsewhere. If it would have, then the store gives you a voucher to spend on your next shop. As the song goes "making good use of the things that we find, things that the everyday folk leave behind"!! Asda are one of the best for this on their Price Guarantee site - I think they give 10% of the difference if it was cheaper at another supermarket.
What are people's thoughts about this?? Not sure how I'd feel about actually doing it - I guess I would feel self conscious - but if I can save an extra few pounds off my shopping then I'm game for anything!!!
Let me know your views fellow DMPers!!

I don't actively womble - but if and when I find a voucher left in a shopping trolley or on a till (self checkout) I make sure I use it. Quite often find those 'your shopping as £x.xx more expensive with us today - here's £x.xx off your next shop' on the self checkouts at Sainsburys. I can confirm they work for anyone and are not linked to any particular nectar account.
Go for it - nothing to lose and lots to gain:jDFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -

Neither do I. I have managed to pick up a couple but I am rarely there so they are few and far between. The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Hi - not posted for a while. Had a few ups and downs - mainly downs! My car has needed £500 worth of repairs. So our emergency fund has being reduced Self DMP wise - 2 creditors have accepted. Santander have said it's too low but won't do anything anyway! Very odd. BOS have rejected and BC do nothing - no default , pay up or else - nothing. I've set up another basic account and I plan to make token payments until probably August. But all that is ok - I'll pay anyway - rejected or not. To be honest I really haven't had the time to deal with it all - my DD is going through some major mental health problems and it seems like she's going to be diagnosed with asd. It's being really tough and the debts have taken a back seat - I need to get back on top of things really.
Whilst I'm thinking - I've cca'd Bc and BOS twice and not had anything back. Both these debts are post 2007 so I'm assuming they will easily reconstitute something. How many times do I ask ?!!LBM 2/12/15 - total debt £62500:shocked::shocked::exclamati::eek:
2/216 £29500 unenforceable.

Usually one request, and a follow up letter if you have not heard anything.

Thanks - BOS have a style all of their own - lots of letters threatening defaults - but no cca. BC just keep sending statements but no cca as well. I find how each predator corresponds quite interesting. The problems with my daughter have put all this into perspective really.LBM 2/12/15 - total debt £62500:shocked::shocked::exclamati::eek:

Hi everyone i have just sent my letter accepting my DMP to stepchange! I am incredibly excited to start getting out of debt! Long story short just over 9K to 6 creditors with 7k of that being at interest rates of over 21%!!! Anyway i have now opened a new bank account with a non-linked bank and have yet to transfer any direct debits
. I am panicking a bit though as i have not really missed any payments before (only a couple) and as obviously now all the DD are cancelled i will start to miss payments potentially before the DMP is set up? is that ok or should i phone them and pay?
Love my DMP left to pay £0/ £10162.51
