Shucks that sucks  do HMRC allow for budgeted payments, then you could do slower HMRC repayment and just lower your DMP rather than go to tokens. I accept that HMRC is a priority creditor, but if you put yourself on tokens and something else was to happen???:eek::eek:
Have your called HMRC to see what they say? Explain you are in 2 jobs and the employers pay folk messed up. Make sure they know you are willing to pay. Finally have you taken some advice to check that your tax is correct and you are claiming everything you are entitled too? Some unions will do a free tax checker, you pay them 25% of what they save you though so better if you can get cheaper advice.
And don't worry, you'll get through this. Also I just thought you need to reduced your budget income to account for the same thing next year......
I agree with Sazzie - not quite the same as you Phoenixx but we had a bill from HMRC saying they overpaid our child tax credit and we owed them around £800. Phoned them and explained that we were on a DMP and they asked what we could afford. They agreed a repayment plan over 24 months. Worth a try.
Good luck.

Right I've cancelled all my direct debits to creditors and written my letters to them advising of token payments for the next few months. Feeling good so far.
Can anyone tell me if they've had any dealings with next as it says on their Web page if you miss a payment, your account gets passed to a debt collection agency straight away?
Next have been fine with us also. I've been on a dmp for nearly a year now and just pay them £5 a month and have had no problems. We get a monthly statement which states our payment plan is in place.[STRIKE][/STRIKE]LBM January 2015:(

You mean this :
"Should you experience difficulty in paying your Next Directory account, please contact our Collections Department on 0333 777 8664* immediately as failure to keep up to date with your payments will result in your account being transferred to a Debt Collections Agency."
They will go through the same process as any other creditor, makes no difference if it goes to a DCA or not really, you pay them just the same !!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks BDFSH and Sazzie23 - definitely worth a try. Phoned around employers today for confirmation of pay and earnings 2014/15. Will take a few days to come through. Trying not to be brought down by this situation. XxDMP since August 2011
DFD January 2018 hopefully sooner :j
Debt at start: £98769:eek:
Debt now: £24993:o
Paid back: £73776 :j
Taking it one day at a time:T0 -
Phoenix, thats such a shame, I hope the figure is incorrect or you are able to arrange a suitable repayment plan.
Puzz/Jan: Well done on the job front :-)
All quiet my end and ticking along well I suppose, all interest kept frozen so far, most things defaulted just a couple to go which should happen in Feb....
Next thing for me willl be DCAs if any debts get sold which I assume will. I still do panic that someone will decide to go for ccj/charging order but from what I have read if you are in an arrangement already paying back what you can and especially with advice of a debt charity then it's unlikely.......hopefully that is the case. Most ccjs on thia forum seem to relate to mobile phone bills that people havent paid back at all.
Happy DMPing everyone xxDMP Number 437

Where it says...However, I can raise £ and I want to offer this as full and final settlement of the account.I changed that to advise that 'a relative has offered £x.xx to support me to clear some of my debts and will offer this as full and final settlement of this account.
Ah!My favourite subject :rotfl:!!
I am assuming the 'Full' referred to 'Full Satisfaction!' It is one of those terms that has been accepted and that everybody is in the habit of using without thinking about it but is basically wrong.
We need 'P&F' (Partial & Final) to receive Royal Assent. I am thinking of getting a petition together and seeing my MP.
Do you think I'm not serious......:p??0 -

Morning fellow DMP'ers not been posting much as bl00dy work is mad. On the plus side bagged a nice pay rise this month so it all helps.
Milestone on the DMP though, 1/3rd paid off
OK that might not seem a lot but in monetary terms it is over 20k paid off. We were very naughty post DMP
Anyway will keep on trucking, hopefully the other 2/3 will be done in no time.0 -
