Thanks Jan. Wonder if I should state it's a tax rebate or not?

The account in question is a H.....X card with correspondence to Akinika. I'm not sure if they are agents or owners...should I send the letter to Akinika?

We have a hellifax account with akinika. Akinika own the debt. Send paperwork to them.

I would state a relative is offering to help you. If they think you have money they will want it regardless of whether or not they would consider an offer (whether they get it is another thing, but if they believe it's coming from a relative they won't question your I&E figures again).

Good luck - I'll be watching out for your posts with interest. We have almost £19k with Akinika and I would love to have an idea of a goal to aim towards F&F

Job update - 2 out of a possible of 4 internal interviews on Monday. I am assured I will slot in somewhere (in the words of Mrs Brown....."that's nice" ;) )

At least I will have a job come April :)

Has anyone any experience of nationwide and accepting dmps lately

I should elaborate I have an overdraft, loan and credit card. All defaulted and had token payments for around 9 months moved to DMP starting Feb

Overdraft has been accepted on 12 monthly review with no further charges, waiting to hear on loan and cc and wondered if they'd be the same

Right I've cancelled all my direct debits to creditors and written my letters to them advising of token payments for the next few months. Feeling good so far.

Can anyone tell me if they've had any dealings with next as it says on their Web page if you miss a payment, your account gets passed to a debt collection agency straight away?

Next have been really easy to deal with- a couple of times if the payment date didn't fall right I emailed them and they would just reset the DMP for me.
