Not much help now but before i put the paint in the tray i cover the entire tray with a carrier bag, and when finished painting throw the bag away and tray is still clean.

    Good idea.

Mr Ronaldo can do that with his paint marked tray unless the paint is too lumpy.

i always brush as much out the tray as possible, then let it dry off.

Repeat till you cant lift the tray up due to weight of layers of paint.

Not what your asking but, I was in B&Q the other day, and they had two disposable trays for 98p, or a more rigid one for 98p.
  • Water and a scouring pad (washing up type). Job done

If it's big job that you cant finish in one day, put the head of the paint roller in a carrier bag, the paint will remain wet, so you just carry on using it the next day.
  • Fairy liquid and a little green scrubbing pad. Takes the lot off, no problems.
