The couple's expecting a baby, so it would be immensely base of me to report them. In the same vein, it does irk me that they're in a really good place right now (about to be parents / have put in an offer to purchase their home) and are still seemingly immoral.

Besides, we could all be wrong. They might be legit. This just takes more research.

It is unsettling to live next to people like this, though, if they are bad people.

But this couple just tried to con you into giving them £350!! I would certainly be having a word with the council about fraud. A newborn baby is no excuse.

They could be legit, but that's for the council to determine. You're not kicking them out on the street by reporting them. If they are investigated and found to be committing fraud, it is they who are to blame for any consequences, not you.
  • In fact, hopefully, it might give this couple a nudge in the direction of acquiring some decent Values and Morals before they bring a child into the world. Whatever Values and Morals they have = they will be teaching them to that child.

By and large children will adopt the set of Values and Morals (or lack of) that their parents have.

You are up against a mindset that goes "I'd be a fool not to claim it. They must mean me to claim it" about a lot of stuff. Just take a look at the statistics of people claiming money for having children - and, from memory, I think about 99% of people (yes really:eek:) that have them will claim whatever money they can get their hands on

You can be such an unpleasant individual sometimes , over the years i have been reading your posts , you come across as vindictive , petty , argumentative and stubborn , we can now add judgemental to the list

What any of that absolute drivel has to do with the original post , god only knows
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Unfortunately, you edited down you original post so much, that although I can see snippets of the story in the subsequent posts, there is not enough left to really comment on. Even those who originally read your opening post would struggle to remember details.

So threaten it back. Seriously, you need to man up....
