What is it about me and my car.
Somebody hit my unattended car AGAIN. grrr
Tried to park in a tight spot, decided it was too tight so went further down the hospital car park.
Came out to find a note (lucky, a very honest lady scraped it as she turned in) on my windscreen with a telephone number on it,.
But this is the third time in four years that people have been careless.....

I feel your pain
My last car I had a few weeks parked outside my sisters house and her neighbour parked on my bonnet
Parked outside my house and someone reversed into me - thankfully only a small bump that time and no damage
My new car - had it a few weeks and someone reversed into the side of me in a car park
Went to the tip and someone opened their door and bashed the side of mine
Why are people so careless :mad:0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

I felt a bit sorry for her, when I spoke on the phone, she sounded like a genteel little old lady who said she had never done anything like it before. She was absolutely mortified lol.
I couldn't help but thank her for being honest, and she said she would pay anything it took in cash but told her to wait till I had a quote from a bodyshop first.
The last time it was hit in the same place it was well over a grand as the side panel and bumper had to be replaced. Lucky for her the local body shop will do it for around 180. So I think she will be okay with that. Its the inconvenience of not having a car that is the worst thing.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

People should learn to reverse park, then this stuff wouldn't happen.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

The second time it happened, I was in the middle of a field, only 1 car within a 25yard circumference, and the daft bat in that one car backed into me.....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Perhaps you should consider a new paint job?

Herding instinct at it's finest.
You can park in a completely empty car park, but when you come back you can almost guarantee someone has parked next to you.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

It's human nature to look for shortcuts when faced with decisions. One pretty reliable shortcut is "what did other people do in this situation?"
You enter a near-empty car park. Decisions, decisions, where to park? Ah, somebody parked over there. Must be a good place. Problem solved!
So yeah, herd instinct. Best way to avoid it is to find an empty part of the car park and straddle two spaces. That way the herd instinct is countered by the tendency to follow the rules. It's not anti-social if the area truly is empty and unlikely to get busy, although some people will no doubt think you are selfish. all the same."Einstein never said most of the things attributed to him" - Mark Twain0 -
Hospital car parks... To be honest there is not enough parking spaces in hospitals, especially big ones (staff, patients, their relatives and visitors, other visitors such as - company representatives, engineers, ambulances, builders/hospital/delivery vans, police cars - yes there are couple of them every day, sometimes lorries and that's not all. Such mix will cause collisions.Nearly every day I can spot cars parked on other car's bumpers or, last time, car rolled out of its space into mini roundabout.
Last month on the way home I found SUV parked on bumper of my car (car park was on the slope so other car rolled on mine). Unfortunately owner of SUV wasn't as nice as your little old lady and tried to convince me that nothing happened, eventually, she decided left me her details (with a big fuss).0 -

Glad I'm not the only one who's noticed that.0
