2k for blinds? Absurd! We paid 2k for double glazed windows and doors on a 3 bed semi.
I would be looking at no more than £200 for blinds fully fitted...

Not sure why that is absurd?

Companies would laugh at me if I tried to blind my whole house for £200 - it's just not do-able. I have 20 windows in my house that need covered so unless I can get material and fittings for £10 per window it looks like it's not so absurd after all.

Where are you getting your kitchen blinds from please? I am looking for inspiration for our kitchen. thanks :)

I'm getting them from a local company - they are the 'Perfect Fit' blinds for my french doors and kitchen windows.

Unfortunately, I have tilt and turn windows so it really limits the styles of blinds I can have/want. I wasn't keen on having rollers outside the recess, and so the perfect fit ones were my best option... easier to maintain than slats too! :T

Here's an update as I have now finished purchasing all my blinds...

Kitchen 2x windows, 2x French Doors (Perfect Fit) - £386

Bathrooms x 3 and hallway window with box pelmets made to measure - £500

Shutters for rest of house (11 windows) - £2800

Total (4 bedroom house in Scotland) - £3686

    Hope this helps

We just redid our blinds, we went for wooden venetians, 11 blinds in total, we have quite big windows, we were under £1000.

We bought from concept blinds direct.
