There are points worth making which are reasonable and there are points that make little (or, in this case, no) sense. "Foolish advice" still has the word 'advice' in it I guess.
Oh look, a butterfly...
Ah yes, obviously because you don't understand something, its wrong/foolish.
Meanwhile, in the real world.....You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Can you have a peek inside yourself? If there's 200 baby spiders running amok in there it's a different case to if it's absolutely pristine and shiny!
If it's pristine and shiny, a very quick couple of checks you can do are to look for fuses (usually glass) which you can change, or look at the electrolytic capacitors (look a bit like biscuit barrels) and note if any are bulbous on top, or leaky. Two very common problems, very simply solved for significantly less than the cost of postage.0 -
The bottom line here is: you might win, you might not. To find out, you are going to have to spend maybe £150 upfront to take it through small claims, for an item which is probably now worth less than £100 secondhand. If you win, you will not be awarded the replacement cost. Only you can decide if it's worth it.No free lunch, and no free laptop
