Well, the broad bean pesto turned out lovely & made 4 good potfuls for the freezer. Tonight, Mr f also froze 2 portions of chilli, so that's 5 days worth of dinners added to the freezer list today.I really rate batch-cooking. One of my best money saving tools.2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
:grinheart After TWO MONTHS of procrastinating, faffing and general shirking, we finally finished and ordered our wedding photobook from Truprint. First we went into Quidco and found Truprint. Then we created and ordered the album and eight prints costing £28 including postage. Then at the Truprint checkout we quoted reference SAVE2015 giving us £4.85 off. When Quidco pays up we'll get another £3.85 back so that means we'll have paid £19.30. Our budget was £20.
Ker-ching!

Another recommending using the local dolmus, remember there aren't usually official bus stops, you can flag it down anywhere and ask to be dropped off anywhere on the route. Aside from being cheaper they also drive less recklessly than the taxi drivers
