How about the MG ZT 260. Looks like your grandads Rover 75 but the oomph really gave a few people a shock when I had one

They did a Rover variant too.

Exactly... pointless saying 'not prestige' if people just list bimmers and porkers. Why not just ignore the age range and mention old Chevys.

Ok, so you know how exceptional some of the german / prestige kit is, but for whatever reason are chosing to exclude it.

For the avoidance of doubt then :-

    2000 onwards

    Not prestige

Never heard of costs like motorguy? Some of us don't fancy paying prestige prices for parts.

Retrogamer - in my younger days, yes they'd have been contenders, but like myself, the VTS and GTi are getting on a bit now. Shame Honda ditched the Accord Type R, and equally it's a shame the Lexus is200 is lacking in poke. Wouldn't fancy an is300 due to them only having the auto box.

Parts arent expensive if you buy the right car - Most wear and tear items and consumables are available from your local motor factors.

Even panels - i've had a couple a 330Cis and the front wings bubble round the lip - got very good pattern fit brand new wings for £40 each.

The 3.0i is a simple big six cyl engine that rarely goes wrong.

I've had four really nice ones so far - i bought the cheapest for £1400 and the most expensive for £2700.

    Just sayin..... ;)

Shame about the non turbo thing - there's a few left field Japmobiles that hide their light under boring exterior - and stupid names. I'm thinking Nissan Sylvia (S12 wedgie ones) and Isuzu Piazza ... but then the age gets 'em too.

Edit - got one that just gets in the age bracket - Fiat Coupe ?

    Edit 2 - Hyundai Coupe ?

    Edit 3 - Seat Leon ?

By supercharge...what I meant was individual throttle bodies....

    Which by definition isn't supercharging.

That would be fitting a supercharger.

    You meant fitting throttle bodies.
