Nerf gun........my nephews and nieces love them
also, my nephew loved the "puzzle ball" I bought him (and he is actually an Xbox lover, so was amazed to see him leave the controllers for hours to try and solve the puzzle ball) My sister says that he still picks it up and works on it months and months on when the rest of the family has become totally frustrated and given up.
And if you wish to annoy the parents of said nephew - buy him the "bop it" game - noisy, addictive, very annoying
