I hope you can help me
Bought flights and hire car from easyjet for a holiday using debit card.
When we arrived at the airport europcar offered us a fiat punto for 4 people and luggage.
I have a copy of the easyjet website that says the car was for four people and all inclusive. No other payments. damage waiver etc.
When I spoke to the person at europcar they offered a mini L upgrade but said that none of the insurances was included. Also that i would have to pay 12 euros extra a day.
I said that i would complain when i got back home.
i sent emails to easyjet and euroupcar saying that they had misold me and on the site made it clear no extra charges but this was different on arrival.
Could you help me as to where to go next as both have offered no help or solution to my frustration of extra charges and not being covered for damage even though easyjet plant this all over their website.

If the total you paid was 12 euros a day, surely this is the fee you agreed with Europcar for the 'upgrade' not that I would ever think that a Mini was an upgrade... If that is correct, and you will have had to sign a contract agreeing to the charge, then you have no complaint at all.
If there was also another charge for insurance, then you may have a complaint. I have booked Europcar through the Easyjet website, even when not flying with the airline as it used to be cheaper than booking direct, but never had any issue over the cover provided.0 -
Thanks my main issue is as you say
the upgrade and cost extra. This led onto the mini L upgrade.
then
through the website of easyjet there was no worries of extra charges.
On the website i was led to believe and have a copy that no extra charges for insurance or damage was needed. when we arrived this was not so.
they offered a car but no insurance was with it. i had booked through easyjet and the site. this led me to doubt their wording.
i have tried with letters to both but no success. i wonder what to do next. Thanks Vinny0
