I have read a lot of your 'newbies' thread and cannot find anything to answer my question.
I received a parking eye ticket and found your website threads.
I received a letter from DRP and sent an appeal via the online appeals line to parking eye (using your advice) - it was ignored
I received another letter from DRP and again sent a letter to Parking eye - letter with proof of posting (and copied it to POPLA) - again ignored by parking eye ( POPLA sent letter back as no POPLA code)
I received another letter from DRP and again wrote to parking eye and copied in DRP - no reply from parking eye, received a letter from DRP giving me 6 days to pay.
I am appealing on the grounds that I did not know where this car park is. I am in Peterborough and as I have just found out, this car park is in Mansfield.
I know your advice is to ignore DRP, but I would like to know where I stand if it is taken any further.
Have I got a valid appeal? it just stated the name of the retail park with no location.
I cannot get parking eye even to acknowledge receipt of my appeal/letters.
Please help.
PS I appologise if there is a thread similar to mine but I could not find it.

I assume this was a postal parking ticket ?
when was the date of the alleged contravention ?
when was the date you received the postal NTK ?
does it have RK details on it for a vehicle at your household ?
ie:- is it sent to the RK of a vehicle registered to your address ?
has your vehicle ever been to the location they say it was in ?
there should be photos of the vehicle on the original postal pcn ?
do they match your vehicle or is it say a cloned vehicle or one with a similar plate ?
IGNORE drp, thats a given
its PE you have to worry about
post back with just the details asked for above for now0 -

This wasn't at an Aldi store by any chance? If not, do you know who the main retailer was on the site?
PE are the most litigious PPC in the country and I'm surprised this has gone to debt collectors rather than PE issuing a Letter Before Action or even court papers.
There is a suspicion that Aldi will not allow PE to take the ultimate step of issuing court papers to their customers - we've yet to see one in over 2 years of PE becoming litigious; there may be other retailers too. Your information on this might help us build up a picture in this regard.
Please let us know. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi there , thanks for reply.
The original ticket was for Jan 2014. I received it by post and promptly ignored it as it looked like a fake. It was not until I received the letter from DRP that I took notice.
Yes it is registered to my address and did have a photo of my vehicle but as i said it looked like a bad photocopy.
The notice to keeper did not have a photo. (although the one I received today does have a colour copy)
No it was not an Aldi.
Mansfield is not a place I have been to a lot as, like I said, it is about 60 miles from where I live, I cannot remember exactly but I think 'home bargains' is on the site.It is so long ago that I cannot remember.
It is only the notice I received today that states it is in Mansfield, every letter I have received before just says 'st,peters retail park'0 -
as its so long ago you certainly cannot appeal it
its a waiting game, for 6 years in total, to see if PE take it to court (which they do, a LOT !!)
if you could get the landowner to cancel the invoice, that would be the best solution0 -
If it does go to court, will I be expected to pay loads more? ie court costs?0
-
it says there is boots, laura ashley, home bargains and next at that location. who are likely to be land owners?
sorry to be a pain.0 -
only the land registry hold the details
you could try google, you could ask the retailers who the landowner or managing agent is , it should be on the paperwork (the creditor) - but often isnt0 -

the plaintiff can ask for costs if you lose, the judge will determine the full amount to be paid , if you win , you can claim costs , within reason0 -
thank you so much for your wonderful replies and keep up the good work.0
