hfc bank?

I found an equifax report from 2007 and it listed my loans over the previous 5-6 years,
no account details, just start dates, how much p/m and for how long so i thought "what the hey, i'll try to claim"

success with the mbna, cheque on its way for nearly £1800.
hsbc want more info, this was for an hfc loan in 2001, which the site directed to hsbc to complain.
though i'm wondering if my original hfc loan was taken over by the mbna, which i've already claimed for as the dates/amounts are very similar.
did mbna take on hfc's loans?

mine says on report, hfc loan 49x153 which lasted 1 month?
then says mbna 48x151 which ran its term.
    14 years ago, i can't remember 14 days ago?
just guessing mbna took over the loan as i can't recall cancelling and taking out a new one.
i've already submitted claims for both but after reading it closer, they appear to be the same loan?

I'm having issues with HSBC saying they don't have the records and I need to provide details of the account/loan and the PPI. Which I have done! I fortunately found the original paperwork and submitted it with my original claim letter. Going to phone them tomorrow as I think their standard letters are an attempt to fob off. I shall ask for an ombudsman decision if they do, because they have all they need.

I'm not sure what more I can give them - I've given them the loan information, which clearly details all the account information and the PPI, and they say they need details of the loan and the PPI - idiots.

Yes it does seem like a lottery, but you must persevere, i had 2 old alliance and leicester and national provincial ppi claims turned down by santander, then i provided credit card statements and amazingly they changed their mind and upheld them. I had an mbna credit card claim turned down, now passed to omburdsman, barclays loan turned down initially but having provided them with agreements they are reinvestogating it. Hfc upheld a loan straight away through Hsbc. Halifax bank of scotland upheld 4 loans after one phone call no evidence they had more info on loans than me. Most of these relating to mid 90s to mid noughties. So keep trying you may be successful in the end.

    Well done with hsbc.

I accepted offer from Hsbc mid june they keep bouncing my payment saying my signature is not the same as on the loan i signed 15 years ago, i have been into local branch and they taken id from me and sent it off to teir ppi complaints team, im running out of patients with them now, as they have the worst customer operators on their ppi team, they just dont evef seem interested in the casd.

I had an account many years ago with hfc bank, is that what you are talking about being paid by HSBC, if so I could be able to claim?
