I think I am also very much over the over priced resturant meals especially in chain resturants where mostly things are brought in pre prepared or pre cooked and then microwaved

At the moment we are mostly eating at Pizza Express because of the nectar deal - swap 1000 points for a voucher for 2 main meals. My Oh likes the overpriced frozen pizzas which are 2 for £4.50 so spending what is worth £5 in nectar points for us is a good deal - we just ask for tap water - I am also so over spending vast ammounts on soft drinks

Other than that I love using groupon and livingsocial deals for meals esp where a glass of wine or beer is involved - ideally 2 courses or sharing platters and I don't think I've ever spent more than £20 - quite often these are individual places so it's also supporting local businesses

Eating out is such a hassle - finding somewhere that everyone likes, the ordering and waiting business and then the bill - I just think I am getting very mean as I get older - I want to spend every penny twice

I think whether something is expensive or not is possibly a personal view geared towards your own expectations...I guess what one person feels expensive the next might not...

I can only comment on the fact that whilst we were out last night we decided to "eat out"...no deals on and no vouchers to hand we headed for a chain place where once seated and in possession of the menu I did feel the need to get up and leave before ordering...

4 burgers with varying toppings and fries...with 4 diet pepsi's non refillable...would have come in at over £60....

I'm sure other in the restaurant were enjoying their meal...but I felt a tad uncomfortable about how much we were going to spend and what we were receiving for it...
I'm not against paying for something of quality or indeed if it's a treat but a quick meal after the cinema wasn't in my mind supposed to attract that price
    We finally ate somewhere else....

  • Does anyone have the barcodes & description of the kitchen rolls that are glitching in A's. Yes, I've probably missed the boat already but thought the same on the T. Rolls but managed 9 packs of 9 yesterday.

Have to go get a CC in next 20mins & wondered if anyone could tell me the barcodes/description.

    Thanks
