Need to spend as much time as I can with ds2 as he's off to China for a year next week teaching English at a uni there. Anyone with any tips on things to take etc great fully received:)
Also if anyone knows of a good deal on an electric toothbrush as he wants one for his birthday also next week.
Have my dads funeral next Monday, been nursing him at my parents home for 3 weeks, prior to him passing away on the 26 th. Hence not seeing much of my son recently. I don't do sympathy so no comments please.
Also when you find a brush get some spare heads as well - supposed to change them every 4 months.
My youngest is out in Hong Kong for 6 months working. I did quite a bit of reading up - most things he can get out there but he will find anything with a western label on is imported and very expensive.
Mine has size 10 feet so I made sure he took trainers with him - they all have dainty feet out there so size 10 is hard to come by - trouble is his trainers are huge and heavy and it was hard to fit them into his luggage allowance. At some stage though over the next 6 months he is going to have to buy shoes.
also take a basic first aid kit - again he will find recognizable packets but expensive so if he has the basic pain killers, anti acids, something to bung you up incase of jippy tum, plenty of high factor sun cream, anti bite stuff ..“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I'm no expert, but this looks like a good deal to me...

£18.50 in Sains
£49.99 in Asda - You would get a massive APG but potentially £17 with cheap fillers
I would just buy it in Sains.#CHEEKY :cool:0 -

Good morning :)quick catchup whilst having brekkie as only just got up:eek:and I am on a mission today to clear my Laundry room of all its clutter ;)actually it's all very good household stuff that is far too good to dispose of lamps, curtains, bedding and the like the reason being I have replaced so much of late by visiting my fav LA shop;)so am going to do a Bootie with 2 friends as weather forecast is good at the weekend.
Good luck with the sorting... It's strange how a good declutter helps you feel so much better. Hope the weather brings out all the bargain hunters.
I actually managed to get to the car boot with all the bits I'd sorted and did ok. Did rain on and off several times which put people off venturing out but I came back with two empty suitcases:j then sorted the rest yesterday between the charity shop and recycling bank so my declutter pile has gone :j it's been sat in the dining room since The end of May:eek:
Now I just need to locate 2 plastic storage boxes that will fit through our tiny loft hatch for the monkeys special baby toys that they would like to keep.
It never stops does it.... I feel like I'm on a Hampster wheel I make spaces in cupboards so everything fits in nicely and then it's Christmas or Birthday or just a gift from Grandma and my cupboards start overflowing again ...0 -
Q - When is any food item not any food item?
A - When it doesn't match the image on the W4lkers voucher according to one store I was in last night.
So after waiting weeks for them to arrive I get a discussion with staff and still no nearer spending them ... and await Shopit reviews on many of the others ... I have really had to work for these vouchers. This is obviously payback for getting "a few" more than muggles.
Anon
For the first time (after using around 20 vouchers without anyone batting an eyelid) I had similar trouble last night. The SA couldn't accept that a £4 coupon was valid on my purchases - crisps, bread, milk etc - even when I produced the letter that came with the voucher which clearly stated ANY food item (even a soft drink ) ! I reached the stage of 'do you want me to call HQ yet again?' and she insistd on calling a supervisor. Supervisor took one look and said 'of course its valid - put it through'. Then the SA gave me the usual spiel about illegal use , misuse etc.ELITE 5:2

no I've never fancied the SW or WW group thingy esp as they would be full of people who can drop 3 pounds in a week instead of a month
I think things would be easier if the weather was less horrible - when its nice we often have salads 3 times in a week - much easier to keep the calories under control - high volume, less calories ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
