On the subject of going to uni or not - a lot of people move away to go to uni and they stay in the cities where they studied, mostly don't come home again unless the job situation is dire.
My eldest went to York and she was a York girl from that September day she went up - she worked part time and full tine through 4 years of uni and then her first job was in york straight after uni.
When she comes home now she still has one proper friend from the old days (friend did her degree through work) but she has nothing in common with her old mates.
Its a small market town and there is quite a clear line - the ones that went off to uni and made their way in the world and the ones that stayed behind - still doing the same old jobs, minimum wage, some with kids - they must be very contented with their lot but their world is a very narrow constricted one.
I imagine that in cities or big towns you would not get this division.
As for starting to pay back your loans when you reach £21k there are some careers that have very low salaries so if your degree is in this area you are unlikely to reach £21k - I did see a list once - archeologists where at the bottom, outdoor sports must be low on the list as well“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

This was on the list a few weeks ago but there wasn't even a space in the ice cream cabinet for Twix ice cream - we have Nisa in one direction and Spar in the other.
Not happy with this weeks Shopotize code either - it might just be Jaffa cakes that I get for cashback this week“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Good morning all...
No reduced WUL at A last night ...just an empty shelf where it might have been, so I hoofed it round to the reduced cabinet and have now filled my remaining space in the freezer with 7 pack of reduced burgers 25p each....I feel its a bit reminiscent of last year with the T burgers but they can easily be transformed into lasagnes etc.
There were some 50p chickens there too...but I wasnt fast enough and the guy infront of me managed to scoop up all 4 but hey ho thats the way we roll!
Its a NSD for me today
Hope everyone has a good one...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
