To wade into the budget debate, I will be £140 better off so am not too bothered and I have 2 children.
As you can tell don't get tax credits, just child benefit.
I'm happy the limits are coming into place as previously people could have large families subsidized by tax payers. Now that will change and if people want to have children they will have to cover them past 2 kids, just like everyone else, pretty fair.
I'm happy this will not be retrospective so people are now arned to the change0 -

Tell you what I am happy about. The housing benefit cut for under 21s, and the new limit to two kids on the child tax credits.
I will never forget seeing an obviously mother and daughter conversation. Both were decidedly large and sitting at a caf! with coffee and cakes, daughter was obviously very pregnant. Mother was sitting there giving her a lecture on what she had to say to the housing officer in order to get the most points, mother was complaining current council house was not big enough and she planned on having more kids to get more benefits and a bigger house.
A lot of people have so obviously been misusing the benefit system for a long time, labour have always encouraged it because they thought that people dependant on benefits would vote for the people most likely to give them the benefits.
It is about time that benefits were taken back to reality. They were there to help people in dire need, not to support massive families. And what chances do the kids in these families truly have, they are brought up thinking the state owes them a living, this will only be perpetuated if people are allowed to continue in this manner. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Evening all :hello:Savvybuyer wrote: »I assume you saw this on the M list on Monday?:rotfl: I mentioned it then!
I don't know if this is national but it should be - it's certainly available in more than one store!
So, OH wanted Cheshire Cheese but ended up with none and ended up with Lancashire instead!!:eek: But that's precisely what you should do - switch to the Lancashire, you've done very well!!:T:T:T
It's still on my list (under the 'Buy in M' - top of page 4, 40 posts) with a note that the SP 385g cheese at 50p is cheaper:rotfl:. That works out at about £1.30/kg, if you can find it, making £3.75:eek:/kg seem a complete rip-off:rotfl:, but the cheaper cheese appears to be store-specific and is only if you want cheddar. So, the Lancashire - a nicer cheese (maybe) and it's at a price that made it to the list, so it must be good().
Meanwhile, despite me informing people in my house about arranging meals out, they've decided that Wednesday again is the best night to have a meal:( - 15th of the month they've decided, due to that being the middle of the month:wall: - so, yet again, faced with more pressing timescale if I'm to go to M on that day:eek::eek::(. Details, if I go in the first place:rotfl:, I might not, may be late in the day therefore. I don't think next week is expected to be much of a change - I suspect little on Monday and hopefully not much on Wednesday either - but I think the following week (19th July) might be a bigger changeover.
So, ignoring the cheese part of the post and concentrating on the emboldened part - first it was a house move and now there's an OH
edit: or is this mhoc's OH you are referring to  :rotfl:#CHEEKY :cool:0 -

Had a random thought, some people said they were not bothering with codes with missing digits, perhaps we should post the codes on here in a free for all in case anybody fancies working their way through the alphabet for £4!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Is Saturday not the last day Leslie?
