So you have full disability allownce and you can change your car every 3 years for a new one - I know a couple in this situation.

    Your extension -
on the prog last week from Portsmouth there was a nice couple who had sister living with them and 3 kids, one severely less able and they needed a downstairs bedroom and walk in wet room for her. No social housing was suitable for them but they found them a house and they were building the extension they needed.
This was costing £30 thousand but it was the best solution to a situation with no easy answer.

That's why we bought a new house that could be extended to meet little mans needs:cool:

I think its great that councils do this. its a win win really.. the cost of residential care for a child with disability's is quite a lot.

So it might cost the tax payer but in the end it will save money.

Anyways, must go to bed now. I have work in the morning.

True again because if he was in care it would cost £100,000+ a year:eek: I wish they paid the Mrs that:D

Parents with children that have needs do a great job, Personally I think carers allowance should be at a rate that covers working a full time job. i.e if the child needs 24 hour care then the carers allowance should be a lot more. carers save the tax payer a lot of money.. even the children that care for parents with serve disability's should be taken care more.
