Good morning from a fabulous holiday house - it's huge :T
Everyone has arrived late last night & now great nieces are up & ready to go to the beach :eek:Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

We thought we had 'weird' neighbours here.
As when we went out last night they were on their balcony really staring at us walking past :eek::eek:
So I said 'Hello'
Turns out the reason why they stared - they are only Fourp's cousin's son & family :rotfl::rotfl:Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Good morning all, lovely sunny day hereLadies and gents a bit of advice. My DD is getting married in 6 weeks and for her hen do she suggested a day out at Go Ape ( a sort of forest adventure where you swing through the trees then a nice meal and a dance. Her friends have been dragging their heels to the point that her friend from work was going to take over. But last week the 1st friend text me to say she was organising it but it was going to be £160.00 each including a nights accomodation. Well dd called me just now to say she has just heard from the work friend that it is a champagne breakfast at a posh hotel followed by a cocktail making lesson ( dd works in a pub restaurant famed for its cocktails so can learn at work ) which is a bit of a waste as she doesnt drink much due to her meds.
Then the plan is a visit to see a troup of male strippers ( not her idea of fun at all ) and then a stay in a hotel. the hotel is only costing £30.00 each and the rest of the money is for the rest. She is upset because she told them she didnt want a cocktail lesson and its a bit silly when they know she cant drink much.
She has got herself all worked up about and doesnt know what to do. We have a really nice spa near us and she would prefer a spa day, nice meal , dance and stay at hotel. She wants me to say something to them but I am already seen as an interfering mother as it. What can I do or suggest to her??
I know it is not normal, but I bet you could arrange something 100 times better than this! Why don't you simply take over. Don't get me wrong, I know you are really busy, but surely it would be easier than being the go-between. And if she has decided to arrange her hen do rather than your daughter's maybe she needs reminding that people actually care how she does things!

Please don't tell me that was coincidence!!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Morning all, its still sunny :j
weighed myself for the first time in 10 days and I have lost
0.1 pound
what is wrong with me -I am managing to stay static on yogurt and a banana in the morning, normal dinner at night with maybe one walkers crisp snack at night and a mini aldi ice cream - and I've been doing my steps as well - no daytime snacking. The only day that was different was when we went to Chester on Sunday when we went to Pizza express
I think I have to rethink this. My reasoning was that by the time youngest son came back to the UK or at least by the time we went on the next planned holiday if I loose one pound a week there would be a Significant Improvement - this is not working.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Im no lady anyway so maybe. DD called me last thing and said they are not booking it until today so she is going to tell them she doesnt want it that way. The pub where she works are doing a little hen for her as well and they are hiring the leisure centre and having a kind of Its A Knockout with inflatable things in the pool. She is excited about that as her colleaugues are all lovely. As to the girl probably is she is one of those people who talks over you and thinks shes always right.
Will see what happens today. Now as I am up early do I go to the last day at my Coop for bargains. Everything has been reduced to 75% over the week and I have been 3 times some days. Got loads of bargains. Mine, My Mums and DD's cupboards are groaning!
I think today is the day drastic action needs to be taken.
You love your daughter and she has told you what she does and does not want and what would make her happy so I think now is the time for you to make a stand, tough it out and take over the hen do arrangements - its putting a taint on everything else and making her and you miserable“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
