I did laugh at yours showing less enthusiasm than you expected to broccoli and sweetcorn 😂 ours have no interest in such things either. We hung up a cabbage last week and has anyone taken a single peck? Nope! .
Gave mine Sweetheart Cabbage last week and they demolished the lot in several days. They normally eat broccoli though and cooked carrots but don't want to at the moment, fussy lot.

Mine have had a pecking block this week and they seem to be munching on that. I did also give them one grape each this evening, and of course that wasn't enough, they just got really annoyed and started clamouring for more. Which they're not getting - we're doing Flubenzole (or whatever it's called) this week so they need to be eating pretty much exclusively chicken food which they (and Mr Cheery) are NOT happy about!1

What kind of foods do you give them as treats? Do you cook the broccoli or give it raw?
We have been changing up their space to stop our ladies from getting too bored inside but can't wait for them to be allowed out properly.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2001 -
My three are getting some of the last stored apples from the garage and a few garden weeds.
Does that defeat the purpose of keeping them under cover?2 -
The pecking block is a good idea Cheery as long as yours are enjoying it. Mine point blank refused to eat it. I had to have a giggle at your grape scenario, talk about grumpy chickens eh! 🤣🤣🤣
I give mine raw broccoli Starnac and normally they eat it. I hang it up whole and just let them peck at it when they feel like it. They do have cooked broccoli sometimes though 😊😊😊
Nelliegrace, I never actually thought about giving them weeds defeating the object of keeping them locked in. I picked a huge bunch of dandelions today and they are currently munching their way through that. 😯😯😯 Mmmm! What do others think?

Lost one of my girls this morning, just found her when we opened up. She'd obviously climbed down in the night and got into the nesting box where we found her. The day before lockdown ends, bless her.
