    Re the latches sticking, could you smear them with Vaseline?

    I suppose Vaseline would work to stop them sticking. Good for door hinges too I believe.

    You know Pyxis I actually thought that about the bubble wrap if one of them was bored in the night and decided to have a good old pop of the bubbles to pass the time.:rotfl: But, not a good idea in our girls hotel as our Cockerel is so grumpy right now. Normally our lovely boy gives most of his food away to his girls but definitely isn't right now. If any of the hens goes near a piece of food he wants to eat he is literally growling at them. Never ever seen him do that until this cold snap. Temper Temper Mr Cockerel.
