Settlement offer to F1rst Parking

Hello, after my son's friend was rejected by POPLA, I have decided that as a POPLA appeal has yet to be sent by my son, it would be best just to get it settled with F1rst Parking. Parking for a whole day at the University is £8.60, F1rst Parking want £50 per ticket (there are six). What price would they likely to accept?

"Dear Sir or Madam
I am not admitting liability for the breach of parking terms, but as registered keeper of the vehicle I have yet to send an appeal to POPLA in regards to the six parking tickets. But as I am a student, I do not have very much money, and would like to put things to an end.
As a whole day of parking at the university is £8.60, I hereby tender £10 per ticket (six of them) in full settlement. If this offer is not acceptable, then please reply with what you consider an acceptable fee per ticket.
Yours sincerely"

That is what I intend to send to F1rst Parking. If they reject a reasonable amount, then I will be forced to appeal to POPLA.

Thanks in advance guys!

you could try it but the figure they will want is nearer £550 to £600

anybody that does it and admits being the driver is extremely foolish, even if they only imply it

the PPC can take the driver to court if they know who it is, can ask a judge to settle it and can ask for costs as well

do you really want to send that letter above ?

I would take all 6 tickets to popla and win them all !! (if you had 6 popla codes)

They will reject anything you offer.

Appeal each ticket to them individually, and then appeal each one individually to PoPLA. Nothing else will work (except perhaps ignoring them, but even normally-tame PPC's get a bit court-happy when chasing multiple tickets).

fight the !!!!!!s! read up and make a DECENT Popla appeal , don,t !!!! it up like your sons friend ,

they will refuse any offer , apart from there inflated full price ,

if it goes %^&*s up at POPLA , they then have to attempt to take you to court , lots of hurdles for them to jump thru , and if it gets to court , you WIN, if you %^&* that up as well , you then pay there 6 x whatever charges

you did check with the DVLA that they applied for details 6 times?

£550 to £600? It is only six tickets, therefore if it were paid now then it would be £300. Another friend of our son managed to get them to accept £25 per ticket so I know it is possible.

Chances are that POPLA would reject, and I feel its best for it to get out of the way. If liability has been admitted in my draft, it would be great if it could be fixed.

    Thanks for the reply!

EDIT: Just saw the new posts; F1rst Parking have evidence packs with photos of the car from numerous angles. Surely that would mean that I would lose at POPLA?

ok , you go and offer the scum money then

why do you think YOU will lose at POPLA?

why do you think YOU will loose at court?

actually , how about paying 6 x £18 to one of the appeal companies?

and get the scum off your back

you DID check that all 6 tickets were valid , (6 x separate requests to the DVLA for your data) ?

Most private fake fines are for £100 so that's probably what Redx was thinking of.

And why do you think they accepted £25 per ticket? It's because they knew that if it were properly appealed they'd get £0 per ticket. Paying them £25 per ticket wasn't clever, it was stupid.

Only if you muck it up.

No-one here will help you make an offer of payment to them.

Okay, looks like I'll be appealing to POPLA then.

Is there genuinely a good chance of winning the appeals to POPLA? I mean he did park there knowing that it was breaking the terms, and the photos of the vehicle taken by the ticket warden show the parking terms in the background.

    wot they said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ :)

    popla is 50/50

    you will be appealing on

NTK doesnt conform to POFA 2012

POOR SIGNAGE that doesnt meet the BPA CoP

    No contract with landowner

    Not a Gpeol

    ie:- legal arguments

and yes I missed the £50 a time, the BPA CoP allows up to £100 per ticket

ok , call it £300 then

I would still appeal all to popla , then pay nothing when I win

My son has no intention of going to court over this. If it did go to court, by that time it would be term-time again, and he does not want this in the back of his mind while he's studying. Therefore, based on what you guys have said, it does sound like a POPLA appeal could be successful, even under these circumstances.

Chances are that POPLA would reject,

Chances are that they would not. There is no Beavis link, no commercial justification, very little loss to anyone. Go for it, fight the !!!!!!!s.
