Bought a couple of square mains mechanical timers from Asda a while back. The first one packed up (always 'on' whichever segments are depressed) but the other stalls completely at the same time each day. Should I try and squirt WD40 inside or something?

WD40 is a water dispersant so unlikely to free a mechanical blockage. Take them both back to Asda with the receipt, they should replace them FOC.0

You've got nothing to lose by trying it.0 -
WD40 is non-conductive which is why it is sprayed on HT leads at 30000 volts to displace water.0
