IIRC the only parts that need replacing on the 7,500 service are oil, filter, spark plugs
The 15k one is the biggie
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Actually, according to that manual that you can easily download if you look for it, the only things to replace @ 7500 are plugs, oil & filter, the only extras to replace as well @ 15,000 are change brake fluid & lubricate steering head bearings.

There are loads of check & inspects, but really, you should be checking most of these pretty much all the time anyway, like the chain, tyres, brakepads, oilleaks, bakelight switches.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I went in to get a small tub of brake grease for my Suzuki Bandit and came away with a Ducati. No regrets, but it was embarrassing how I was played by the dealer.

Been there, done that, although I didn't get played. I did get in trouble at home though!

Well, I say 'played'. I was hanging round the showroom waiting for the parts guy, and the sales guy threw me a set of keys, nodded at the Ducati, and said 'why not take it for a spin while you are waiting?' It would have been rude not to. Five miles and a lot of corners later ... kerching!

Not so much played as known too well.
If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.

A good salesman with a good product to sell is a very dangerous thing.....
