I prefer the ""warmed by notice" approach and a claim for £18 per hour for every reply afterwards.
Where people have taken this approach with other parking firms and sued they have won.
But you must afford them the opportunity to correct the error and warn them that failure to do so will be chargeable.
If they fail to mitigate that loss then that is their problem.
Time is money for a working man and having to deal with legal threats is a serviceable and chargeable event once you have warned the other party.
£18 per hour is the court accepted rate for doing so.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Well if that's the case the PPC's running ANPR cameras must be a dab hand at identifying the make, model, colour and even engine size from the photos they take.
My point was that DVLA would only be providing keeper information in response to a request. Why would they tell anyone colour of vehicle?
People are getting confused on this thread, eg talking of photos of the OPs car. The OPs car has not been photographed, It was NEVER in the car park.
Also "Misread my number plate" How could that happen?I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -

Yes obviously. Why would they tell anyone colour of vehicle?
So it can appear on the Ntk, just like on this one.
That information can come from three places, the DVLA's records, from the photo taken of the vehicle or a third party database that matches number plates to vehicle details.People are getting confused on this thread, eg talking of photos of the OPs car. No, I think everyone who has contributed to this thread understands a vehicle has been mis-identified as the OP's.Also "Misread my number plate" How could that happen?
The OP explains this in their opening post, an E has been misread as an F and a 3 as an 8. Whether this is down to a failure in OCR software or a failure by a human being, only G24 will know.0 -
Just ignore, and get on with your life.
Debt collectors will only come round, in the extremely highly unlikely event, that the case goes to court. They win (which they won't, as the evidence is wrong), and you don't/can't pay up.0
