Never been there, but all this talk of pancakes is making me hungry :drool:I doubt very much F&B use 100% pure Canadian Maple syrup.
A quick look at their page confirms this. http://www.frankieandbennys.com/menu/breakfast#

The comment about needing Grade C maple syrup is right (check your Ben & Jerry's ice cream book!).
But does anyone where to get Grade C in the UK? All I can find is the Grade A stuff, which is far too light for real maple flavouring.0 -
I use Aldi/Lidl's? syrup: pure, not the mixture, on bread and butter pudding and the like. It's a bit late now to go downstairs and check on the details, but maybe I'll have some tom.. this morning with french toast a la Canadienne..0

I've found the stuff they sell in the UK and Europe doesn't taste the same as the stuff you buy in the US or Canada. I've tried expensive brands, nothing has the same taste! Have requested a friend bring some back from the US for me!
Having said that nothing has the same taste, I've found the closest thing in this country is actually the maple flavoured golden syrup from Tate and Lyle... better than all the expensive real stuff!0 -
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kirkland-Signature-Canadian-Maple-Syrup/dp/B002NSG0R4 they have this on Amazon - not sure what its like though, but as a traveller to Canada before, if you're going to have it, you might as well use the good stuff. I doubt very much F&B use 100% pure Canadian Maple syrup.
This is the one Costco sell £10.99 for one litre of the stuff (grade A Canadian maple syrup).http://www.costco.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/cos_6,cos_6.5,cos_6.5.4/933881
and this if too busy to make your own - will keep you busy for a while ...

It would appear you can buy the different grades in UK
