When they say that if there is no response after 7 days and we just ignore it what is the likelihood that they will go ahead with court proceedings?0

Have fixed the link
The original PPC is VCS.
Gordon and Noble are just acting as debt collectors they cannot take you to court.
As you are in Scotland you can safely ignore this.
VCS won't try another case in Scotland - they recently got trounced

Do a search on this site and the world wide web about your PPC with keywords court and Scotland. I suspect the number of cases they haver ever taken to court are very close to zero, if not zero itself.I married my cousin. MIL are based in Truro - the phone number on the letter shows 01872..... which is a Truro number. They are debt collectors.
The have been buying up some old PCNs in England (but not seen one from Scotland yet) and sending out these threatograms. Now where G&N (who are also debt collectors) fit in with this is a bit odd.
Citizens Advice Scotland have taken a very a close interest in private parking charges and with Trading Standards are in the process of taking Civil Enforcement Ltd through the Scottish courts (Perth or Dundee? can't recall) on some criminal charges. They could very well take an interest in what you've received.
Speak with them. Let us know how you get on, as this will help us with advice if we get similar cases in Scotland. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It's Aberdeen Sheriff's court where the CEL case is to be heard, as I recall.
As per others. you can safely ignore Barnes Gordon & Noble. They are not acting as Sheriff's Officers in this case, but are being deliberately obtuse about it to scare people into paying.0 -
Hello all...this is my first time here in a long time.
So back in 2009!!! I parked in a car park and received a ticket through Civil Enforcement Ltd. They had captured my car through ANPR cameras. I basically overstayed the 2 hours.
I've had numerous letters over the years, threats of baliffs etc but I've decided to ignore them, due to the advice on sites such as MSE and others.
This week I received a letter saying they are going to take legal proceedings and I will be getting a letter from Northampton County Court in the next 7 days. (funnily enough I don't own the car any more and don't live at my parents address).
Along with the Letter is a N1 claim form with no stamp on it, and in the second part is named a Mr M Schwartz as the solicitor. This particular form doesn't look like an original or official document, it has evidently been printed off or copied.
I have a printed letter from the Co Operative (the car park I parked in) describing that Civil Enforcement Ltd have authority to manage the car parks, signed by Chris Jones (solicitor) then a print out of the Barry Beavis case that went to court, which they say they will be using as evidence to support my case.
Shall I wait for the letter from the court.
What would happen if I ignore this? I obviously don't want a CCJ against me.
Your feedback would be fantastic! Thanks0 -

if 6 years has elapsed , its statute barred from MCOL, so you are close, if not past it
if you are in Scotland, MCOL doesnt exist, wrong jurisdiction , plus its 5 years for Scotland , not 60 -
charleyc,
Please start a new thread and read the stickies.
As the event was in 2009 I am sure that you can continue to ignore. (If I am wrong we will both be told)
Posts crossed. I am best ignored. (At least, that's what my children say!!)0
