Unless you advertised your house as having brand new prestine carpets then you have nothing to worry about.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

If you feel bad, then leave a bottle of [STRIKE]champagne[/STRIKE] prosecco :money: for the buyers.
If you have covered the burn with furniture, no doubt the buyers will do so too.0 -
Cut out the burn (cut out a square shape not an 'iron shape'). Cut out the same size square from a corner which will be covered by furniture and replaceGather ye rosebuds while ye may0

Thanks for everyone's responses! I am not sure about covering the burn mark with a garden gnome is the way forward!
Well I still feel bad but i am going to leave the carpet and not say anything about it.
We did agree to leave the blinds and light fittings for free (some of which cost a lot of money), and we have left the appliances in the kitchen and spare tiles for the bathroom in the shed all for free and agreed with the buyer. We have gone round and fixed any odd jobs too like leaking taps etc as she is a first time buyer moving in on her own. I will leave her some prosecco in the fridge and hope we don't get any angry calls about the carpet on the day of moving!0 -
Well, if not the gnome, leave the iron to cover it.
At least you know it will fit the mark!0 -

oh wow are people really that stingy when selling house that they even take blinds/light fittings away? and you leaving an old carpet is also a bonus? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have you thought about taking electricity sockets away as well? they sure are expensive as well, and I heard that the paint is also rather expensive, did you did the sensible thing and at least scrape the paint from the walls before leaving?0 -
Anyone who has moved will know that even removing furniture that has been there awhile will leave indents on the carpet so i wouldnt worry.0
