I called up and spoke to M&S and they said need DD's on the account.
And does that concur with the published OFFICIAL terms on their website?

Refer a friend (which now pays £100 to each party for a short while!).

You can also go through a cash back web site, but that is besides the point

I haven't read it properly online yet, had a few minutes free so called them quickly. Will double check online.

    No........

Thanks for the short answer, just wondering if the dots mean anything or add an explanation for my education.

    Cheers

MSE does not permit two character posts. If you try you get the error message "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters." Adding dots gets around this limitation ( 7 dots if you want to say yes and 8 dots if you want to say no ! )

I switched an old Lloyds to M&S a few months back, no DDs were required then, and I still don't have any. I only use the account to access the 6% monthly saver.

If you use the 7 day switching thing, the old account will be closed.

If you have been with FD before, they will not pay you to switch, they have a very long memory. Still worth it for the 6% monthly saver.

    Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)
