....well I feel ripped off...
I set up a new plan with EE and got myself a nice new Samsung Galaxy 5 phone.
After about a month the battery cover flap fell away... I say fell because I wasn't pulling on it.
I have been in contact with Samsung via Twitter and the best they can do is send me a jiffy bag to send back the phone to them.
So I will be without my smartphone 'til they fix it.
They have intimated that it is not a design flaw :rotfl: and that it is my fault... believe me I take care of my electronics.
So I have a 'phone that is out of warranty because of their cheaply produced phone.
On searching for the problem I see that there are 100s of others who have been basically fobbed off by Samsung... just Google it.... Help!!!! I am a retired person and can't just go tossing money around because of someone else's bad product...

Sale of Goods Act its the vendor not Samsung you should be talking to .0

But Samsung do not have the same obligations under SOGA that the vendor has .User sends to vendor under SOGA and vendor sends to Samsung . User sends direct to Samsung not under SOGA but under Samsung's limited 24 month warranty subject to the T&C of that limited warranty .
I know which method i would choose .0 -
OP, can you not just clip the battery cover back in place?

I'm guessing they mean the sealing flap over the phone charger port rather than the back cover.0

So another non scam, scam post.0

OP, when my DD had a fault on her Galaxy phone, they repaired it and returned it so she was only without it for 3 days. Only thing I would say is make sure you package it up well in bubble wrap in original box, bubble wrap so it can't move around in a second box and then in Jiffy bag. Also take photos of the phone and packaging just in case.......0

How did you open the flap to charge the phone without pulling on it?
I've had mines for around 8 months and the chrome has worn off a bit but no sign of it falling off.All your base are belong to us.0 -
Will EE not give you a loaner in the meantime?0
