Because you appealed to the Notice to Driver, there is no need for them to send an NtK, so forget that. Just get on with the standard POPLA appeal.

The OP was told to appeal the NTD as the Keeper. If they followed that advice then the PPC are stuffed. A single point appeal to POPLA that no NTK was received is a winner.

better check the expiry of that popla appeal code and if its still valid get it registered on the popla website asap, otherwise all the above advice is irrelevant

then its prepare an appeal for the Ombudsman Service
  • I’ve registered my intent to appeal and received a confirmation email. Thanks Redx.

Thanks nigelbb, I'm hoping that they are.

Does an email count as NTK? I think it misses out point 8.(2) (e) of POFA anyway. I can post the (edited) wording if it helps.

    Thanks, HN

An email cannot be a valid NTK. An NTK needs to be sent by post to the Registered Keeper at the address that the DVLA provided to the PPC for £2.50.

In other words, the plan to appeal as keeper at around day 22 has worked. The PPC have failed to send a POFA 2012 compliant NTK so have handed you a POPLA win on a plate.

  • Hi everyone.

I received an email from POPLA Admin on 9th Sept saying that my appeal has been registered and that Ombudsman Services will be in touch with me shortly after 14th Sept to tell me the next step, finishing with: 'Please do not send any further information before you have heard from Ombudsman Services Limited'.

So this was 3 months ago. Would anyone advise me to get in touch with Ombudsman Services Limited? Or do I keep waiting?

    Many thanks, HN
