Using UK pay as you go sim overseas. Cost to people contacting me?

I have a tesco pay as you go SIM.

If my friends phone or text me from their UK mobile while I am abroad will they pay any more than usual (or if included in a contract prepaid minute/text allowance)?

My understanding is that I will pay a roaming cost per minute for the incoming call and receive texts for free and it will cost them no more than it would if I was in the UK?

I have tried googling but cannot get confirmation so was hoping you may be able to advise? TIA

You could get a Sainsbury's PAYG SIM, free to receive calls abroad.

It's just common sense really. As they are not supposed to know whether you are in UK or abroad, they can't be charged extra.
