Hi
Staying at campsite La Croix Du Vieux Pont from 26th August for one week, thinking of going on the Friday 30th tickets from fnac are 55 euros for 2 parks one day. The campsite does a coach trip and leaves the site a 7.50am and departs disney at 8.00pm, was thinking of doing this instead of driving as its going to be one long day.
My question is do you think we would be able to get around the two parks in one day, if not which one is better for teenagers 2 boys 15 and 13.
Thanks0 -

I'd drive - simply because in August the main park will be open until after 11pm, so if you take the coach trip you'll miss around 3 and a half hours of the park - including the best bit of all, Dreams fireworks/lazer/projection show over the Castle, which takes place at 11pm.0 -
When is the cheapest time of year to stay in a Disney hotel with 3 kids?

January to March every year is the cheapest season to go to DLP. If you are 2 adults and 3 kids, and all the children are aged 3 or over, you will struggle to get a Disney hotel room for all of you in one room. If you are driving you can stay at the Davy Crockett Ranch though, and the Santa Fe, Newport Bay and Disneyland Hotel do have very limited numbers of rooms for 5 - but as you can guess, as there are so few of them, they are expensive compared to the standard rooms.
So for an onsite hotel you are probably looking at booking 2 rooms, or there is the Explorers hotel (which has a free shuttle to the parks and a Disney gift shop etc) very nearby which has room configurations for 2 right up to 10 guests.0 -
Thanks
I've been. Pricing up Santa Fe and when I put in five of us it offers a room with one double and bunks, the two youngest can top and ail if need be. Is it too cold for kids that time if year? I remember Parisian the snow in feb one year it was freezing! Also do they have a provision for three kids on rides like some parks do, like if one won't go on or you don't want one to sit on their own? Thanks!

The standard rooms for 4 (or 5 if one of the kids is aged under 3) at the Santa Fe don't include bunks - its 2 double beds as standard in one room. There are a few rooms at the Santa Fe with bunks, but you're not guaranteed them. The standard rooms at the Cheyenne are one double and one set of bunks, so that might suit you better?
Yes, it can be freezing at DLP in Jan-March, but its quieter then and cheaper, so lots of people with young kids take them at that time of year. Take lots of layers and they'll be fine.
Different rides at DLP have different capacities - the general rule is they won't allow any child to ride alone if they are aged under 7. There is baby/child switch at DLP for rides where you all don't want to ride etc. DLRPMagic I think has more information on that, plus fastpass etc.0 -
Hi, I have priced up the hotel cheyenne, standard half board, disney breakfast (on my sons birthday - is it worth it?) for 4 nights/5 days for £1470 for 19th - 23th august 2014.... is that a good price?
Also, is the cheyenne a nightmare cause of having to drive in? Is there another hotel of simialr price we could stay in? There are 2 adults 3 kids and there will be 1 infant by then as well :-) xxx0 -

can you take the half board and the Cafe Mickey breakfast off? The Davy Crockett ranch is the off site Disney property where you need a car, is that what you've looked at, not the Cheyenne? Personally, I wouldn't be booking for summer 2014 yet, unless the price you are getting includes 40% off the full brochure price I think there will be better deals to come.
And, if you're staying at the Davy Crockett ranch, you don't need half board vouchers at all because you can head back to your cabin for a rest mid-afternoon and have your main meal there (huge supermarket nearby at Auchan val d'europe).0
