Hi All,
We are off to DLRP at half term :j:j:j:j(along with lots of brits by the sound of it). Just read on Disboards that Cafe Mickey and Auberge are pretty booked up the whole week and I'm starting to panic as I haven't booked them yet and they are the 2 character meals we want to do (and the 2 that we have promised the kids!!!!)
For Auberge when can you request a table by the fireplace.... do you do that at reservations or on arrival at the restaurant? Would you recommend a lunch or dinner at Auberge?
Looking at the show and parade times etc for this week..... is it likely to be the same for next week?
It's our first trip to DLRP and I feel like I haven't done enough planning as we are also in the middle of buying a house & moving, kids just had chicken pox, applying for jobs etc so the disney planning has been put on the back burner, but starting to worry now that I don't know enough, I am safe enough to not stress and just go with the flow once we are there? When we did Disney World 2 years ago I had researched loads and had it planned really well.
Thanks in advance x0 -

you need to ask when you get to the restaurant to see if you can get a fireplace table. I don't know if Auberge is doing dinner, think it might just be lunch. If they are doing dinner, then you'd be best doing dinner at Auberge and lunch at Cafe Mickey, as they are busiest the other way around.

yes, I doubt there will be any change for next week.

print off this week's programme, look through it, and choose 2 or 3 things per day that you'd like to do and plan around those. Use fastpass and extra magic hours if you have it. Think about having a break from the parks in the afternoon, so you can see the parade at 7pm and Dreams at least once at the end of the park day.0 -

I remember reading something somewhere about being able to have your breakfast in the park if you are staying at a Disney Hotel. Can anyone advise how this works and how you arrange it? Can you go to Cafe Mickey for example?
Many Thanks0 -

no, breakfast in the park isn't a character breakfast (you can pay to upgrade to character breakfast in Cafe Mickey, but I wouldn't bother, its very expensive compared to having lunch or dinner there instead).
You're staying at the Santa Fe aren't you? Yes, you can ask when you check in at your hotel to have breakfast in the park instead of breakfast at your hotel. Its not always available, but if it is you'll be given a timeslot for it. Its in one restaurant in the park per day, chosen by Disney. It could be either the Plaza Gardens, Bella Notte or Chalet au Marionette.
There is no charge for having breakfast in the park instead of at your hotel, and if you intend doing EMH, the best timeslots for this are at 9.00 or 9.15am (ie you do the quietest hour of EMH from 8am for the rides, then have breakfast without leaving the park, ready for ropedrop/heading over the studios before 10am).0 -

Thanks balletshoes, yes we are staying at Santa Fe Mon-Thur and we plan to do the EMH every day. After we booked our trip we managed to get the free sky tickets for the fri so we've ended up booking thurs and fri night at the explorers hotel aswell. We will try and get a breakfast in the park on one of our EMH days.
Have also applied for the shareholders club, however I just called to chase it up and they said they haven't recieved our signed contract and shares certificate yet. We posted it 10 days ago, so she said I could email it and they will try to get a temp certificate issued for us to pick up at salon mickey. I hope it all works out as it will save us a bit on our Auberge and Cafe Mickey meals.
BTW for anyone going in half term I just called to book Auberge & Cafe Mickey and they are sooooo busy next week. Had to shuffle our origional plans around but managed to get 12pm on wed for cafe mickey and 12pm for auberge on friday.0 -
