Checked that and I could have got a slightly cheaper deal on explorers. You should never re-check.
Still it was only another £12 a night I paid, (but for two nights though). For the room for six of us it's not that much in the overall cost.

Ah at least it wasnt a lot, & you know for next time! :p

I did look at that actually, but the lack of breakfast put me off as i'm planning to make our lunch at breakfast :rotfl:

you could always grab a filled baguette or 2 at the little convenience shop inside the train station at the park gates (ie non-DLP prices ;)) on your way into the park on Sunday morning.

I don't mind really, I was happy to find a hotel that could sleep more than four, and all the other booking sites were dearer at the time, or had no availability. There was another booking company on the website just was offering the room at £40 dearer, so it's not all bad.

Everyone just fills the croissants at breakfast, and very non-discretely slides them into a bag under the table.
You can feed the family for the day.

We're talking about the Val D'Europe hotel. It doesn't included breakfast so Balletshoes was suggesting an alternative for us to eat cheaply :)

Auchan is open until 10.00pm on Saturday night at Val d'Europe.
Get some food on the way back, bottle of wine for the evening, croissants for the morning, the little one will be asleep in the room anyway, hopefully worn out.

just thinking - you're visiting over a Saturday/Sunday, so having Extra Magic Hours would be very useful for you to get Fantasyland rides done on the Sunday morning.
Expedia have the Hotel L'Elysee Val d'Europe at £76 for your one night (I'm sure theres cashback with Expedia too). This is the only non-onsite hotel which gives you access to Extra Magic Hours. One stop away from the park gates on the train (every few minutes from Val d'Europe to DLP and back all day every day), and only 2 euros-ish per adult per journey (so less than 10 euros total for you).

Don't they do a shuttle bus as well?
  • Yeah they do. 10 minutes transfer.
