dlp meal vouchers arent worth it, theres many ppl on disboards saying the same, disneyland paris have dropped their exchange rate making the vouchers more expensive apparently now you save 10% off your meals or so they advertise it but most people find you dont save anything. for example if you use half board at auburge (the princess meal) you have to pay extra for the photos 20 euros i think someone said, if you dont use half board you get free photos and unlimited drinks

We were disappointed last year to find that we couldn't get AP discount on any balance that we paid cash for as we did in the Cali Grill when we used the vouchers, but as I say because of the exchange rate at the time the vouchers still worked out slightly better and helped with budgeting. I had been toying with getting the vouchers for my next trip, but my nephews are such fussy eaters I think they'll be a waste of money. It'll be Mickey Pizzas all round I'm sure!!!
  • Thanks for everyone's responses on the meal vouchers, I'm still undecided hmmmm We will want table service when we are there and I may get them just for the budgeting element. Anyway I booked the trip yesterday, if I decide to I'll add on the meal plan, I am so excited to be giving my little girl on her dream, I've sold my soul on ebay and worked tons of overtime it feels good to have finally booked it :j
.... now just to plan the trip!

Hi i am booking a holiday in sept through disney web site or thomas cook, but i saw in the thread that someone used tesco clubcard to pay for some of their holiday. how is this possible, the only discount i am looking at getting though tesco is the euro tunnel....Is this the only option available. also to the above post we are booking the half board option. it works out less the £20 for a three course meal/buffet per night and a drink

To pay with tesco vouchers you need to convert your voucher into airmiles, £2.50 in vouchers gives you 60 airmiles. eurotunnel alone with airmiles is 900 miles per person so i dread to think how many tesco vouchers you would need for a disney holiday

I am booking 3 nights accommodation in Disney! The half board option is £147. I am not going to take this as I really hope I wouldn't be spending more than £50 on a meal at night. My daughter is 3 and my husband and I wouldn't be wanting a 3 course meal everynight. So I don't think the half board option is good value but I have heard food is very expensive in DLP.

Does anybody else have any views on the half board option? Also has anybody had the meet n greet breakfast in Disney village?

Another question Sequoia Lodge/ Santa Fe/ Davy Crocketts?

the half board vouchers are meant to save you 10% off your food bill, not everywhere accepts the vouchers for a straight swap of a meal and some places only take it off as face value so you may still end up paying some.

i dont think theyre good value at all, they cant be used in mcdonalds which is the cheapest place there to eat so if your on a budget you could maybe eat here one night.

the cheapest burger n chips for example was about 27 euros for us, 2 adults and a 3 year old.

cafe mickey is character meals, the cheapest at the park, you can order to your budget here, full 3 course meal is about 30 euros each or you can just order like a pizza, pasta, burger etc
