    Hi

we are going for oct half term and driving too :)

we tend to drive from South Wales, and stay overnight near the tunnel
then get an early morning crossing, then its around 3 hours drive to disney

which we break up with stops along the way :)

i havent stayed in one ,but i think formule 1 hotels are cheap

    HTH

Thanks, we are going from South Wales to and thought it would be good to stay in France so we can get to Disney earlier the next day as would have already done the Euro Tunnel. Where do you stay on this side of the boarder? The travelodge at Ashford isn't as cheap as usual.

    Hi,

Off for a four day break next week, staying at the Santa Fe.

Whilst not an issue for me, I need to find out if the room comes with a hairdryer for my partner and daughter!

Anyone know the answer to this?

    Thanks in advance
To my knowledge, no the rooms don't have them (there was talk about hiring them from reception but sometimes they don't have them and they're not that powerful!). You would be best to take your own I think.
Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
    I would like to be lucky,healthy & happy in 2020! :T

    hi
stayed there at Easter, our room had a hairdryer at the basin bit. One of the ones you have to hold the button in on (on the wall) to keep it on. Fine for drying daughters hair after swimming but I dont think it would be great if you wanted to end up with nice styled hair.
Also have to pay for towels in the swimming pool so remember to take yours from the room.
I haven't looked back far on here but take lots of snacks with you. Everything was so expensive - £6 for 2 calippo shot ice lollies, £6.90 for a pint of beer at the hotel.

Travelodge or Premier Travel Inn usually :)

Have you checked out prices of hotels in / near Calais?

could do a late crossing on the eurotunnel, and stay close to Calais that night, then like you say drive down to Disney first thing in the morning

Not tried it that way,but would be interested to hear your experience of doing so :)

does any one know if the eurostar tends to change its ticket prices, as it appears that though disney will be selling for feb next year from the end of this month, eurostar is selling theirs directly in july,

working out on several dates they have so far its cheaper to book with disney for the hotel/park and book eurostar direct for the train (if we go for the non flexible train tickets) than to get the hotel/park and exact same train from disney? but dont want to book them seperate if eurostar are likely to change the prices, if this happens can you call disney and add transport after the initial booking of hotel etc? these are the prices on eurostar at the moment http://www.eurostar.com/UK/uk/leisure/travel_information/before_you_go/fares/london_ashford_to_disneyland_resort_paris.jsp

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi all haven't read it all but just wanted to say i booked to go in june and got 50% working for NHS (probably been mentioned already) I booked eurostar seperately.

I just wanted to pick the brains of people who have been before, i read somewhere else that the smoking is really bad there. I never even thought about this when booking is there smoking in the restaurants and hotels? I take it there are non-smoking rooms available although i wasn't asked when booked. I am going with a baby and very concerned about the room smelling. Any advice please.

Yes, the hotels are non smoking. There are designated smoking areas in the parks, but there were people lighting up where they felt like it.

We are going to go to DLP in June and I am going to book the food before we go but was wondering if I should go for the Lucky nugget to see the characters or a character breakfast? Any suggestions would be grateful!

Edit: forgot to ask when I tried to upgrade our room to the Admirals floor in Newport bay hotel was told that I couldn't as we took advantage of the 40% off offer, anyone else had this??
