I have a question about spending money, I am undecided between 3 options, buying euros, taking a prepayment card from fairfx or charging all the shopping and meals to the hotel room and pay it in 1 chunk at the end of the stay with my credit card, I would be very interested to how other people deal with their spends.

i ordered euros before i left, and split them up so i had the same amount each day and kept it in money bags from the bank, ie 100 euros each day for instance, that days money was kept in the purse, and the following days money bags were in the security waist belt

i found it a great way to keep track of what was being spent and the money i didnt spend on that day got carried over to the next and so on, only used credit card twice.

one thing i would say ref charging it all to the room, is that as you are not spending money as such at that time, you may not realise how much you are spending

  • I have just picked up my euros, got a rate of 1.119 in post office inside my Tescos. Id rather pay as I went along and not have to pay any commission charges. If we over spend then I will take money out on the ATM out there in the park.

For a rough price we have paid £217 for one night santa fe for 2 adults 1 child inc passes. £265 for Eurostar (direct both ways). £30 Disney express. £96 BBWWS. £32 upgrade for character breakfast. So for one night two days its cost quite a bit of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats ages off! We can't decide between eurodisney or center parcs and the centerparcs price has already gone up £100 each since we first looked a few weeks ago so had hoped to book asap, may take a look at some of the offsite places...
