Thanks again!
I guess February half term would be a cheaper option ? But I guess the weather wouldn't be as nice.
Choices, choices...0 -
Feb half term is busier as most European countries are also off school then.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

yes February half term is cheaper than May half term, but the weather is colder and the parks close much earlier in Feb than in May. Feb half term usually coincides with some French school holidays, May half term usually misses French school holidays completely.0 -

generally yes - but I was there at the start of our Easter school holidays last year (2014) and it was great, no crowds really. Avoid Easter weeekend itself, and check for French school holidays - if zone C French schools are off, it will be busy at DLP.0 -
For a family of four in May, it's going to cost at least £100 a night in a hotel and about £400-450 for tickets.
Does that sound about right or do you think there will be deals nearer the time that will reduce the price?0 -

even if you got free kids under 12 and 35% off for your May dates (going by the price on the UK site at the moment for May half term next year), you'd be lucky to get any onsite hotel package for less than £700 for 4 nights (and that would be the Santa Fe or Cheyenne price ie no pool). A similar standard hotel to these, but just along the road from them, is the Kyriad at Disneyland Paris, and I'm seeing that hotel on travelrepublic for 4 nights for a family of 4 for next May half term for around £230 total for the room.
eta - sorry i got mixed up, i thought you were after 4 nights not 3 - the 3-night price for the Santa Fe, same time of year, if you got the deal of under-12s free and 35% off (not likely at the Santa Fe and Cheyenne to be honest) would be around £515.
Kyriad for 3 nights would be around £1760 -
Thanks balletshoes, you've been extremely helpful!
I thought about going for a hotel with a pool, but realistically would we have time? Kids would be too engrossed in Disney to even think about swimming!
I've not heard anything good about Kyriad, but I guess why it's the cheapest. Hôtel l'Elys!e looks decent value for money for ratings and is close too. 3 nights for around£300.0 -

if you're looking at paying over £700 to stay offsite, you might be as well waiting for an onsite offer nearer the time - if you got the maximum offer of under 12s free and 35% off for the Sequoia Lodge for example, it would work out at around £650 for half term in May.
This is all conjecture of course, therere no guarantee that you'll get that amount of discount plus under-12s (but under-12s is likely on the French etc sites).0 -
We have booked via Expedia for Disneyland Hotel. 3 nights 4 days. Family of 4 @ £1016. Not too bad.
Two quick questions if someone can help ?
The booking is for a family room. Is there a way to upgrade at hotel for Luxury room ( available @ £1400 on disneylandparis.co.uk ) and is it cheaper to do that ?
And is it true that the characters no longer go to the hotels. When we have been before they did photos in the lounge before breakfast & in the lobby @ 4pm. If they no longer do this, why ?
Thanks
