honestly? you're going on just about the busiest couple of days of the DLP park year (especially Saturday 31st and Sunday 1st). Can you go any other time?

Really? I'm a novice to this, never looked into it before. Ideally need to go around the half term & my kids have a training day that Monday, so I just played around with the Eurostar dates to see which were cheapest.

I was choosing Oct half term over Feb as thought it would be far warmer.

but Feb half term will definitely be a lot quieter, and you'll get better deals for that time of year for hotels, compared to end of October when all French and most European schools have their break.

Hey all, me and my family have never been abroad so have decided to take the plunge and do it in style lol! We have decided on Disneyland Paris staying at the Disneyland hotel for 4 nights in January departing on the 4th - 9th. I know we will be paying a small fortune but as we are seeing this as a one off trip we are gonna do it right lol!
Will probably have hundreds of questions but first few here:

Will it be Christmas themed throughout this trip?

When booking cafe mickey online with the holiday booking is that ur table booked and paid for or should I expect to pay extra over and above this?

How do people tend to take their money?

Will a 4yr old (turns 5 over there) manage full days in your opinion?

Many thanks for now as will no doubt have more questions as I go lol! ☺

not throughout, typically all the xmas theme stops around 6th, it might even be 4th in 2016 as thats the first Monday in January.

if you're paying for cafe mickey with your booking, you don't pay any more, but you will have to call Disney Dining Reservations about a fortnight before your trip to book an exact time and date to go to Cafe Mickey.

How do people tend to take their money?

I take cash in euros, but credit cards, debit cards, and prepay cards are widely used, and there are cash machines in the parks you can use too.

Will a 4yr old (turns 5 over there) manage full days in your opinion?

yes I'd say so, its short park hours in January (typically 8am for extra magic hours, and ending at 7.30pm after Dreams). If you're staying at the Disneyland Hotel you are literally 2 minutes walk from the main park to your room, so you can always pop back to your hotel for a warm-up or a nap if you really need it.

Many thanks for now as will no doubt have more questions as I go lol! ☺

enjoy planning your first trip (it may not be your last ;)). Try playing about with your dates and length of stay on the DLP site before you decide on booking, it can make quite a difference to the price you pay - check other country's versions of the website too, although you might be a little early for the prices on the French site to be up, but the Irish one might be there now.

Thanks so much for this! Yeah I doubt it will be our last and we are already talking about our next time lol!!
When booking for cafe mickey with the holiday it allows you to select a time so will I still need to call? Actually think I'd need to call anyway as wanting a birthday cake when we go lol. Thanks again

if you get the option when booking cafe mickey to stipulate a date and time, then you won't have to do it again later, but you will have to confirm that you want birthday cake at cafe mickey on your specific day and time. thats not a problem though, you can do that when you get there as long as its at least 24 hours before you want the birthday cake, either at your hotel reception or at city hall in the main park.

Amy, I'm booked to go around the same time and found that prices dropped a lot by starting our trip on Tuesday 5th Jan as Extra Value Season starts then. The 4th is still peak Christmas season so a lot more expensive. The price you pay for your whole trip depends on the day it starts. :)

    Hi all,

We've booked to go in August and am currently looking at events.

Has any done Buffalo Bills - is it recommended? It is worth paying more for Tier 1 compared with 2 seating?
I have seen it is a bit cheaper via http://www.365tickets.co.uk/disneyland-paris-shows#disney-village-buffalo-bill-s-wild-west-show compared with http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/dining/disney-village/buffalo-bills-wild-west-show-with-mickey-and-friends - has anyone else used 365 ?

What about the new Frozen events - is it the sing-along? Is this a pay-for-event ( I can't find tickets anywhere ) or just turn up on a queue system?

    Thanks!

    Nick

you can get tier 2 second showing tickets for 39 euros on either ticketmaster.fr or the French DLP site (isle-de-france). Its not worth paying for tier 1, everywhere you sit in the arena gives you a good view of the show.

all of the Frozen events are free, you just queue up with everyone else (you'll get the event times and venues on the park programme, which for your dates you should get on the official website after 14th July).
