Thank you so much for your answer and patience BalletShoes Especially as after I had caught up on reading through (500+pages *faints* ) I found the answer a few pages back! :rotfl:
I cannot wait to go now, as you responses here have been wonderful and so very helpful.
Thank you

Hello! I am wanting to book for DLP next year - I have been reading lots and lots recently and I know there are some really good offers that pop up - I would want to go in April school hols, or May school hols, or in late august (any of these times are fine - I will be ruled by which is cheapest! lol) looking at paying for 3 nights min.
I just wondered what kind of time I would expect to find the best offers?
I will be going with my hubby and our 6 children eldest will be 16 and youngest will be 6
we will be driving and going on Eurotunnel.
im looking now and cheapest I have found it is nearly £2,000! Think that was with half board and staying in santa fe... am I likely to get it much cheaper? by waiting?
Thanks for any help! ive read so much in last few days my brain has turned to mush! lolApril 2014: A CAR!!!!!! :j 60th Anniversary Edition of Playboy mag signed by Hugh Hefner/Family pass to Twinlakes Family Theme Park/Rio 2 Goodies/£15 Promod Voucher/Nivea Sensitive Prize pack/John Frieda Cosmetic bag and bits/Tickets to New Kids On The Block + Meet and Greet0 -

If your price includes 2 rooms at the Santa Fe, to accommodate all 8 of you, and its total cost is £2000, thats less than £250 each, which is a very good price for 3 nights onsite, including half board.0 -
I know its not bad really I spose - its just I been reading online at people getting 2 adults 2 kids for around £400-£500 in past offers so that would work out at around half what price I could get now, so wondering if its best to just leave it till later to book... and see if better offers come up - is there another offer where you get 40% off sometimes? does that normally include half board too do you know? its easy to get confused with all the offers and figures isn't it! ive been living and breathing all things Disney for the last couple of days! lolApril 2014: A CAR!!!!!! :j 60th Anniversary Edition of Playboy mag signed by Hugh Hefner/Family pass to Twinlakes Family Theme Park/Rio 2 Goodies/£15 Promod Voucher/Nivea Sensitive Prize pack/John Frieda Cosmetic bag and bits/Tickets to New Kids On The Block + Meet and Greet0

the people getting 2 adults and 2 kids for £500 aren't getting any half board included, and generally aren't going in school holidays.
If your price includes 30% off and free half board, its a good offer.
If your price is less of a discount than that, then its not a particularly good deal, and you have plenty of time to book, so if you don't like the price, wait to see if another offer comes out later which suits you better.
2 nights free has been a pretty normal offer in the past so 4 nights for the price of 2 (which works out at just under 40% off) but kids under-12 has now been withdrawn (which is a pain because that used to be a standard really good deal for families for bookings between January and March each year). Now its only kids under 7 which are free onsite.
For a 3-night stay you might get a 40% off deal, but its unlikely for the Santa Fe or Cheyenne.
Don't be afraid to look at other countries versions of the official DLP site too, I booked my last trip using the French site's offer as it was £300 cheaper for my dates compared with the UK site offer.
eta - food is expensive at DLP, and based on half of you being aged 12 or over, out of the £250 each for your existing Santa Fe quote, £50 each of that is for food.0 -
Thanks for that! it was 20% I think and half board... so I think I will hang on a while for a better one! Thank you!
oh! If I book through the French site, can you still add on half board if you want aswell? Thanks!
I shall be avidly checking the french and uk site now! Thanks!
When you say £50 was for food, that is quite good when you think about it to eat for 4 days per person isn't it! Especially when they proper hot meals! I dare say it will cost a whole lot more if didn't get the half board then!April 2014: A CAR!!!!!! :j 60th Anniversary Edition of Playboy mag signed by Hugh Hefner/Family pass to Twinlakes Family Theme Park/Rio 2 Goodies/£15 Promod Voucher/Nivea Sensitive Prize pack/John Frieda Cosmetic bag and bits/Tickets to New Kids On The Block + Meet and Greet0 -

its only one meal per day, for 3 days (its per night booked, not per days stay).
If you have to pay for it, I wouldn't add on any meal plan for DLP - as there are non-meal plan restaurants which are cheaper in the resort.0 -
oh right! Thanks! (still got a LOT to learn with this Disneyland lark!!! lol)
Thanks very much! I will definitely not be adding it then unless it comes free!April 2014: A CAR!!!!!! :j 60th Anniversary Edition of Playboy mag signed by Hugh Hefner/Family pass to Twinlakes Family Theme Park/Rio 2 Goodies/£15 Promod Voucher/Nivea Sensitive Prize pack/John Frieda Cosmetic bag and bits/Tickets to New Kids On The Block + Meet and Greet0 -
I'm looking to take my 15 and 13 yr old children to DLP in August (week beginning 4th). My DH doesn't like all the rides so I am braving it on my own!
The plan is to use the Eurostar. Has anyone gone via Lille and if so, is the change of train straightforward?
The best deal I can find is the Sequoia for 3 night as we will get 20% off, including park tickets and half board. This works out approx £1200. We would then need to add travel on top. The partner hotels are working out more as they do not have the 20% off and the 2* hotels work out roughly the same.
I have visited DLP before so know the set up but have stayed at the Dream Castle and Circus hotels rather than the Disney ones. I wondered if the Sequoia is a good one to go for, the reviews on Trip advisor are mixed, especially about queues for breakfast......
Is this a good price or can I do better?0 -

yes, very straightforward - you come off your Eurostar at Lille, leave the platform, and then about 15 minutes before your next train is due to depart from Lille, its platform will appear on the information board on the concourse. You just punch your train tickets in the little yellow machines near and on every platform, get on your train, and about an hour later you are arriving at DLP station.

how does 978 euros (ie around £835) sound? Voyage Prive .com (the French site, not the UK one) has a 50% off sale at the moment, if you can travel on 2nd or 3rd August. Thats the price for all 3 of you at the Sequoia Lodge (without a meal plan) on Voyage Prive. They are an established company for DLP holidays, lots of return guests use the 50% sale with them to book for DLP.
This price is only on until the end of today though (its a flash sale and its last day is today). You have to sign up to see the prices, but its free and then you can unsubscribe from adverts etc.
You can spend way less than £400 for the 3 of you on food at DLP for 4 days - we were
averaging around 90 euros per day for everything (food and a few souvenirs) on our last trip last month, for 3 adults and one child.
Sequoia Lodge is now one of the best onsite hotels following its recent refurb - and there are queues for breakfast at all the onsite hotels if you go for breakfast between 7.45am and 9am. The breakfast buffet is open from 7am to 10.30am each day, so you can avoid the breakfast queues if you plan a little.
eta - you could also just buy fantasy annual passes each for park entry (gives you extra magic hours even if staying offsite) at 159 euros each, and then stay offsite - that will be a lot cheaper than the UK onsite price, and might even be cheaper than the Voyage Prive price.
Have a look at travelrepublic, expedia, alpharooms, ebookers, hotels.com etc for Disneyland Paris hotels, loads will come up, and remember cashback sites if not booking through travelrepublic.0
