Block phone for making calls - i.e. text only?
My son has a Motorolla Pebl phone, which has one of the o2 sim cards with the 300 free text messages for £10 top up. Anyway he's costing me an absolute fortune and not benefitting from the 300 texts due to the fact he's using the phone to make calls rather than texting (cos it's quicker), which obviously eats into his credit.
I therefore want to know if I can set the phone or get anything so that he's only able to send texts (and peharps make calls to 1 specific number (my mobile or land line) in case of emergency)?
Any help/advice apprecaited!

I dont think this is possible, with the O2 300 free texts you can change the plan over so instead off 300 texts you can have 50mins of free calls instead, if he is calling 1 particular number and they are on o2 if you text one and the phone number he rings to 21300 he can ring them free (upto 500 mins per month) for the next 3 months. Either way if he uses the 50 free mins he still has the £10 credit to make calls/texts but it will no doubt last longer if he is talking more than texting.0

Tell him that once he's ran out "that's it", he needs to learn this sooner or later.
Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

As well as the free 50 anytime minutes on offer there is also OffPeak which gives 100 free offpeak calls 7.30pm to 7.30am Monday to Friday and all Saturday/Sunday to landlines and any network.
Or there is 500 mins free calls to landlines and O2 mobiles only, every month from a nominated postcode which you can change once a month.0
